THE IVIES VERSUS... IVIES IN THE NBA The Ivy League’s records against non-League opponents during the 2012-13 The 2012-13 National Basketball Association (NBA) season opened with only one season: Ivy Leaguer on its rosters -- former Harvard standout Jeremy Lin.

Conference 2012-13 Record Lin has been on a meteoric rise since going from being released by the Golden America East 6-8 State Warriors after his rookie season then being cut by the Houston Rockets two Atlantic Coast 1-0 days before the start of last season to signing a multi-year deal to be the Rockets’ Atlantic 10 1-8 starting point guard on opening night this year. Big East 1-5 Big South 3-0 Added to the roster two days after being cut by Houston last Big Ten 0-2 season, Lin went from seldom-used reserve to a starter for a team that plays in Big 12 0-0 the World’s Most Famous Arena. He is just the second African-American Ivy 2005-06 44-63 (.411) League graduate to be named to the committee, joining Penn’s Craig Littlepage, 2006-07 54-55 (.495) who served on the committee from 2003-07 and is the current Director of Athletics 2007-08 49-67 (.422) at Virginia. 2008-09 46-67 (.407) 2009-10 57-65 (.467) Muir was named Director of Athletics at Stanford on July 27, 2012, after serving 2010-11 60-54 (.526) at the helm of the athletics departments at Georgetown (2005-09) and Delaware 2011-12 67-59 (.532) (2009-12). He has nearly 25 years of athletic administrative experience, which 2012-13 27-45 (.375) also includes stints at Notre Dame, Butler, Auburn and the NCAA national office. 20-WIN SEASONS THE 14-GAME TOURNAMENT In each of the last three seasons, the Ivy League has boasted two or more 20-win The “14-game tournament” is a term used by many who cover and follow Ivy teams. Last season marked just the second time in League history that three League men’s basketball to describe the conference’s double round-robin, teams made it to the 20-win plateau: regular-season schedule as it decides the League’s automatic bid representative in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship as well as the Year Teams conference’s regular-season champion. The 14-game package comes on the heels of the Ivy League and the NBC Sports Group announcing a two-year renewal of their national television rights agreement for football, men’s basketball and men’s lacrosse games in May. For the 2012 football season, the League boasts eight nationally-televised games with seven on NBCSN and one on CBSSN.
