Princeton junior forward Ian Hummer (Vienna, Va.) stuffed the box score in leading the Tigers to two victories at Rider and Northeastern. Hummer flirted with a triple- double in the overtime win at Rider with 21 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, UPCOMING SCHEDULE adding four steals in 42 minutes. He followed that with another solid performance in the Monday, December 19 Northeastern win with 20 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals. The seven Cornell at Illinois, 7 pm [ESPN3] assists against Rider were a career high, as were the five steals at Northeastern. Of Dartmouth at Colgate, 7 pm his 42 assists on the season (12 games), 13 came in the two games this week, as did nine of this season’s 24 steals. The freshman, playing against his Marist at Penn, 7 pm hometown school, posted 11 points, seven assists, five rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot in 30 minutes off the bench for Cornell. Cancer closed strong with four points, two rebounds, two assists and a block in the final four minutes of regulation as Cornell erased a 10-point, second-half deficit. The seven assists and four steals were both career highs. First he put up 11 points while grabbing five rebounds in a tough loss at IPFW, then he recorded his first career double-double in a big win over Elon with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Golden also dished out two assists and had a steal in each of the games. Late in the Elon game, Golden picked off a pass on the defensive end and went all the way for a game-sealing layup with just over a minute left.
