• General Landscaping • Patios • Stone Walling • Decking • Pergolas Orchard Grove • Commercial & Residential Hello everyone, may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and healthy • Lazylawn Artificial Grass Licensee for SW contact: 01823 252023 New Year. www.englishgardenco.co.uk For this month’s article, I’d like give you www.lazylawntaunton.co.uk a brief heads-up of a new road layout on the A38 Taunton to Wellington road expected in Jan/Feb, as part of the initial stages of the Comeytrowe development APPROVED (now called Orchard Grove), where there ASM CONTRACTOR are a planned 2,000 new homes to be built by the end of the decade. The ELECTRICAL start of the development is on the A38 in the dip between the Stonegallows Inn and the Taunton former Crown Inn at Rumwell. At this point there will be a new roundabout constructed, Free Quotations work scheduled to commence in the New Year. Clearly, this will cause residents using the A38 to and from Wellington/M5 increased journey times. I’m assured there will be New Install & Rewires as little disruption as possible, however, as a council officer said at a recent meeting, Minor Work “you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs”. So, please be warned, delays Testing & Inspection there will be. The new roundabout will give access for all site traffic and will become the entrance to a ‘spine road’ running through the centre of the development giving access Disabled & OAP to new properties as they are constructed, eventually connecting to the village of . Its 10% Discount completion is anticipated towards the end of the project. The roundabout will also serve a planned ‘Park & Bus’ facility, where up to 300 vehicles 01823 353525 will be able to park, enabling residents to catch the regular bus services already provided, this is not the same as a ‘Park & Ride’, which has its own dedicated buses. I’ve included 07717 719484 a computer-generated image of the completed roundabout when approaching from www.asm-electricaltaunton.co.uk the Wellington direction. The houses shown are part of Phase 1A, at the time of writing (10th Dec) the application has not been approved and is held pending resolution of the phosphates issue, which is near now, so it is likely the application will be referred to planning committee in the New Year. Take care, stay safe. John Hunt
