District & Sessions Court Kalaburagi, came in existence in the year 1935. The District court is functioning in the renovated Court building. The new Court building was also constructed with two floors. The main building is situated near Siddartha Law College, Temple Road, Kalaburagi and nearer to Railway Station. In the new Court Complex at present fifteen Court halls are there. At present four Senior Civil Judge Courts including Chief Judicial Magistrate Court and six Civil Judge & JMFC Courts are functioning in the said new Court building. There are two separate Bar Association buildings, one is old building and other one is new building constructed in the G+2 pattern and the separate space is provided for lady advocates in the said building. There is a Canteen facility and Typing Pool to Advocates Association, under District Court Compound is provided. The building is in good condition and having all the Civil facility in its building. Some of the other Courts like Family Court is also functioning in the District Court premises and the Labour Court is functioning in “ Mini Vidhana Soudha” which is near to the Court Complex. Apart from this Railway Court is also functioning. There are two Lift facility is provided to the New Court building . In the Court Complex there is a facility of Post Office, Separate Canteen Building and prosecution Department Offices which are attached to Sessions Judge Court. There are two Office vehicles (Cars) and one Tata Van for Judicial Officers and for their official convenience. All the Courts have been computerized and there is also facility of Video Conference, there is separate Library for Judicial Officers.
