Placekicker Eric Neihouse has hit 19 consecutive PAT’s dating back to the 2003 season. He had a streak of 34 consecutive makes end against Memphis last season when the Tigers blocked his second attempt of the day. Offensive lineman Steven Gibbs doubles as a weight thrower on the track and field team. He threw the shot, discus and hammer throw in the Sun Belt Conference indoor and outdoor championships.

A total of 14 of ASU’s 22 players listed on the defensive depth chart saw their first action as 1-A football players. Of those, six started their first col- legiate game. The offensive side of the ball started three first-timers as well. In all, 15 players on the defensive side of the ball saw their first game action and eight on offense.

A new record could occur for the Indians by the time all fans take their seats at Baton Rouge. The current record for the largest crowd to ever see ASU play is 86,520 when the Tribe faced Georgia in 2001. Tiger Stadium holds 91,600, a number that could very easily be reached this Saturday.
