The Pennsylvania Hunt Cup race course was inspected by Brooke Boyer on 10/19/2020. Turf: Mix of fescue and pasture grasses 5-8 inches in height. Smoothness: The course is smooth on the Plumsted side and rougher on the former Weymouth property. Compaction: 80-100 (yielding) The footing is good. Moisture: In general moisture between 8-10 (average wet to wet). There is one small low area on the former Weymouth property which showed more moisture. Notes: We had 2” of rain last week and one day of rain in the forecast for the week leading up to the races.

When the call for RIDERS UP is announced, you will still be wearing your mask, get straight on your horse and then go directly out onto the race course. At this point, the mask can be pulled down. THERE WILL BE NO STANDING AROUND THE PADDOCK SOCIALIZING. 10. After the race, all horses will return to the paddock area where their grooms will collect them and return to their van/trailers. 11. STALLS ARE BELOW THE PADDOCK - JOG STRIP IS IN THE SAME AREA

1. There will be a mandatory pre-race veterinarian exam beginning at 9:00 a.m. with Dr. Kathy Anderson, Dr. Charles Arensberg, and Dr. Bernadette Loomis-Smith. Horses will jog for soundness and will have their heart rates checked. Upon passing the jog, horses will proceed to treatment stall and receive their LASIX. 2. THIRD PARTY FUROSEMIDE (SALIX) ADMINISTRATION: Horsemen are reminded that third party administration of furosemide (Salix) is in effect at this race meet. Please refer to the 2020 NSA Medication Guidelines for complete details of the NSA Medication policy. Contact Dr. Taryn Gassert (610-207-9209). 3. Lasix horses must be on the grounds atleast 4.0 hours prior to post time of their scheduled race. 4. Horses should received LASIX 4 hours prior to their post time. After LASIX administration horses can be hand walked or returned to their vans. 5. All horses must be on the grounds 2 hours prior to post time for the first race unless excused by the stewards for extenuating circumstances. 6. Winner of each race needs to proceed to the testing stalls located next to LASIX stalls. 7. Please leave your dogs at home - no dogs are allowed on the grounds.

3. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES and 6’ SOCIAL DISTANCING SHOULD BE OBSERVED.
