How to Order a Bus Pass Online Stagecoach How to Order a Bus Pass Online Havant & South Downs College (HSDC) students are eligible to purchase an online discounted student bus pass via the Stagecoach website and the First Group mTicket App – please see instructions below on how to purchase a student pass. The student pass will allow you to travel for a much cheaper cost (compared to standard priced fares). It is recommended that you research the most suitable bus pass which will enable you to travel from your home to your place of study. All bus passes can be used in the evenings and weekends within the areas and dates of the pass. You can select either an Annual Bus Pass that will be valid from 2nd September 2019 until 2nd July 2020 or a Termly Bus Pass (this splits up the cost and the pass will need to be ordered each term. Some termly passes may also not cover Easter or Christmas Holidays). Stagecoach - Instructions to order a bus pass online (passes can be ordered from 1st August): Please make sure the bus pass is ordered in the student’s name with the student’s ID number (6 digits) otherwise the bus pass will not be valid for use. The prices displayed for HSDC Bus Passes are heavily discounted for students. Once ordered and paid for, the bus pass (smartcard) will be sent to your home address, normally within five – seven working days. You cannot use the pass before 2nd September 2019, and it must be used with your Student ID Card (the Student ID card will be issued to new students during enrolment days in August/September). To order a Stagecoach bus pass, please use the following link which will take you to the correct page: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regionaltickets/south/portsmouth-and- havant/overaweek?passengerClass=STUDENT If you have any questions, or you find that your smartcard does not work, please contact the smartcard helpline on 0345 810 1000. Bus Passes for both the South Downs Campus and the Havant Campus will be displayed. Please make sure you select the correct ticket for the campus you are studying at and the correct ticket for where you live – see below for examples to help you: Havant Area Student Ticket (South Downs Campus or Havant Campus): If you live in Havant, Bedhampton, West Leigh and Leigh Park you may select the Havant Student Ticket. For students living in Waterlooville and studying at the Havant Campus: If you live in Waterlooville and are studying at the Havant Campus you cannot select the Waterlooville Ticket as this ticket will not allow you to travel to the Havant Campus. The furthest you can travel is to Havant Asda. To arrive at the Havant Campus, you must select the South Hants Student Ticket – See below. South Hants Area Student Ticket (South Downs Campus or Havant Campus): If you live in Portsmouth, Southsea, Hayling Island, Waterlooville, Havant and before Emsworth Square, you may select the South Hants Student Ticket. If you lose or change your phone, just download the App to the new phone, log in to your account and simply press ‘refresh’ and your ticket is reloaded. An internet connection is not required when you are using the ticket, a data connection is only needed for the initial purchase. All bus passes for Havant & South Downs College can be downloaded on the First Bus mTicket app (please note this is a separate app from the First Bus main app). It is important that you register for the mobile pass in the student’s name and the student’s college email address e.g. [email protected] – please do not use a personal email address, otherwise your mTicket may not work. Reger Read, comment, and order all booklets at hhbkt.com 3 Preface Much of the material embodied in this little history of Warblington has been taken from a book called The Hundred of Bosmere (comprising the Parishes of Havant, Warblington, and Hayling Island). Original copies are now very scarce [it has been re-printed and is also available to read on the web]. It was published in 1817 by the Havant Press, and, though anonymous, is well-known to have been written by Mr Walter Butler, Solicitor, of Havant, who combined a profound knowledge of the records of this part of the County of Hampshire with much patience in research. We have to express our thanks to the proprietors of the Hampshire Telegraph and the Portsmouth Times for permission to use several extracts from articles on the County which appeared in those papers some years since; and to Mrs Jewell, of Emsworth, in this Parish, for information which her great age and most retentive memory have enabled her, most kindly, to place at our service.

  • Please Find Attached Denmead Parish Councils Outline of Issues. Kind
From: Cllr Langford-Smith To: Aquind Interconnector Cc: Cllr Andreoli; "[email protected]" Subject: Comments for the Open Floor (7th Dec) and Issue Specific (9th Dec) Hearings Date: 30 November 2020 15:39:36 Attachments: 1) Village Legacy.docx 2) Preservation of Gap.docx 3) Impact on SINCs.docx 4) Impact of Building.docx Please find attached Denmead Parish Councils outline of issues. Kind regards Paula Paula Langford-Smith Chairman Denmead Parish Council Remarks to Aquind Hearing on Village Legacy 07-12-20 As has already been remarked, whilst the residents of Portsmouth, Havant and East Hampshire will suffer short term disruption whilst the cables for the interconnector and the associated fibre-optic communication cable are laid, the residents of Denmead Parish will not only endure this, but will also be faced with a 26 metre tall building sited within the Parish for 40 years or more. The Draft Development Control Order lays out how the developer intends to install the cables and build the Interconnector facilities but there is no consideration whatever given to the community which faces this intrusion. It would seem that the only legacy the Parish of Denmead can look forward to is the buildings on the outskirts of the parish. There is no Employment and Skills plan and no opportunity for the residents to gain employment and training as a benefit of the interconnector. There is no offer of any form of benefit for the Parish, no offer of compensation, no acknowledgement whatsoever from the developer that they will be having any effect on Denmead.

  • Boundaries for the Winchester and Test Valley Parliamentary Constituencies
Hursley Parish Council C/O 31b Main Road Hursley Hampshire SO21 2JW Dear Sir/Madam, South East Region Initial Proposals: Boundaries for the Winchester and Test Valley Parliamentary Constituencies The South-East Region Initial Proposals for the Parliamentary Constituencies propose that the Parish of Hursley will no longer be located within the Parliamentary constituency of Winchester. At their meeting held on Monday 12th November 2016 the Parish Council agreed to object to the Boundary Commission proposal and request that the Parish of Hursley remains within the Winchester Constituency. The Parish of Hursley includes the hamlet of Pitt and both are geographically close to the City of Winchester and have long standing community ties with the City. Consequently, the Parish Council on behalf of the residents of Hursley would prefer to remain within the constituency of Winchester, ideally, together with our neighbouring parishes of Otterbourne, Compton and Shawford. We respectfully request that you reconsider this aspect of your proposals based on the evidence of the close community ties with our neighbouring parishes and with the Winchester City and wider District. We do not have similar close community links with Romsey and the Test Valley. Geography Our Parish borders the City of Winchester. Some of our residents, for example live on Sarum Road situated close to the heart of the city. With the proposed changes their next-door neighbours would be allocated to a Winchester City Ward and Winchester MP whilst they would be served by a Romsey MP based 17 miles away. We share many common issues with central Winchester being located on the main traffic route into Winchester via the A3090, local housing development, secondary schools, GP surgeries, the County Hospital, Winchester railway station and bus service.

Thus I was encouraged to start out on a journey of exploration into the history of postal services in the local area, a journey which has given me many hours of enjoyment. What I have achieved has been helped enormously by those of the Waterlooville Philatelic Society notably the late Eric Whyley and Mike English, and also the late Geoffrey Salter of the Waterlooville Library. Much of my research was published in the Journal of the Hampshire Postal History Society of which I was editor for a number of years. I must also thank David Coxon whose father took over from George Pook as postmaster in the early fifties for his memories and Paul Costen [www.costen.co.uk] who allowed me access to his scanned collection of postcards to search for Post Offices.
