Press Release Guntramsdorf, October 2017 Top results of KAHLES shooters at the World Field Target Championship 2017 From September 19th to 23rd the World Field Target Championship 2017 has taken place in Wales / United Kingdom. More than 300 sport shooters from all over the world have competed to find the “best of the best”. KAHLES is very proud to pronounce that three KAHLES K1050i FT shooters finished among the top ten shooters in the world championship: 2nd place overall ladies, Ms. Lauren Parsons from South Africa „I participated in the European Championships first and then did the World Championships. This has been the most competitive Field Target shooting on a trip I have ever done. On top of all that, it has been the toughest conditions that I have ever experienced. The rain, wind, humidity and cold was really difficult and I had no way to pre- pare for this, but every shot I felt like I was learning something new. The part that really stood out for me was seeing all my friends from abroad, and of course making many new ones. Never miss the Mo- ment you know“. 3rd place spring gun ladies, Mrs. Luciana Pereira da Silveira from Brazil „I got really happy with my results at the worlds this year, only 2 months and I made 3rd place with my new scope Kahles K1050i FT. The place was amazing and I got really happy to meet old and new friends. Next year promises...“ 7th place overall, Mr. Sergio Arman from Spain „The trust in my equipment and myself was what made me to enjoy in the competition and get a very good score. I never felt so confident to join a competition with any other scope“. 77th place overall, Mr. Reghardt van Jaarsveld from South Africa „Worlds 2017 was held in beautiful Wales under challenging weather conditions. I was worried about scope ranging shifts as the temp and light varied considerably during the three days. I didn't range any target at 50m and checked with my fellow competitors who stated that allot of the targets they have ranged at 50m. The ranges were released the day after Worlds and not a single target was at the max of 50m“. BRITISH FIELD TARGET ASSOCIATION Bylaws of the British Field Target Association Ratified November 2012 1 General 1.1 Definitions 1) Words denoting the masculine gender are taken to include the feminine gender. 2) “The Association” means the British Field Target Association. 3) Unless stated otherwise, “Executive member” means a current full Voting member i.e. a National or Regional Association. 1.2 The bylaws of the Association shall have the same force and effect as though they were part of the constitution. Where there is an unintended conflict between these Bylaws and the Constitution, then the Constitution shall prevail. 1.3 All member bodies shall be provided with a copy of the constitution and bylaws and any amendments pertaining thereto. In accepting membership of the Association members confirm acceptance of the constitution and bylaws and will be bound by them. 1.4 The Association shall – a. encourage the formation of air gun clubs and regional associations b. standardise competition and safety rules for the sport of field target shooting. Competition rules may only be changed annually. c. advise on all matters relating to competitive field target shooting. 1.5 The Association shall provide, as a minimum, the following – a. a grading scheme b. restriction of entry to certain events to holders of a current registration card 1.6 The Association may affiliate to any body where, in the opinion of the Management Committee, such affiliation would be in the best interests of the Association. 1.7 Notwithstanding any provision hereof every member, visitor or guest shall be bound by any rules or regulations of any official governing body to which the Association is at any time affiliated and by all relevant statutes or other instruments of law which may be in force.

Art of Shooting Art of Shooting An introduction to target shooting with rifle, pistol, shotgun and airgun Prof. Philip Treleaven Preface This handbook is a ‘primer’ for the new target shooter: introducing the firearms, shooting disciplines and firearm technology, and drawing on the expertise of Bisley, the home of British and Commonwealth target shooting. For someone interested in taking up target shooting, it is surprisingly difficult to find out what are the different shooting disciplines (or to give them their proper name Events), and perhaps more importantly what’s available in their area. Naturally you won’t find Shooting for Dummies in the local bookshop, but there are some excellent books and web sites, especially in the United States, most cater for the experienced competitor in a specific discipline, like Smallbore or Benchrest, rather than the new shooter. I am fortunate in that I live 40 minutes drive from the world famous Bisley Camp, the home of British and Commonwealth shooting (cf. Camp Perry in America). The great thing about shooting at Bisley is the wealth of knowledge and experience available covering all aspects of the sport. People who have shot in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, national champions for every shooting discipline, experts in ballistics and hand loading, gunsmiths and armourers … and national coaches. Truly a university of shooting – akin to Cambridge or Harvard! However, even at Bisley it is a daunting challenge to find out what shooting disciplines are available, and who to ask for advice. It’s like everyone else in the shooting world knows everything about shooting, marksmanship, ballistics and hand loading, and you the novice know nothing.
