Using the app

Home When you open the Google Fit app you’ll see a breakdown of your day’s activity, including calories burned, steps taken and Heart Points earned.

Journal You can manually add in workouts or sync Google Fit with your other health apps to get insight into the things you can do to sleep better, be more mindful and get more active.

Google Fit on iOS The Google Fit app is also available on iOS devices, so you can sync your Apple Health data with Google Fit.

Mobile Vitals Google Fit now lets you use the power of your camera to measure both your heart rate and respiratory rate, as a guide to your general health and . Once activated, follow the onscreen instructions and then log your results into your Google Fit app to keep a track of your data.**

You can choose from a list of workout types, and you’ll be able to see your most recent 5 at the top. When you want to try something new, you can see a full list under Other Workouts.

Controls

It’s now a lot easier to control your workout, with separate screens for pausing, managing music and accessing settings. You can access them using the hardware buttons:

Metrics

Goal achievements: You’ll get a celebration alert when you hit your Heart Points and Steps goals. The new haptic feature means thatthe watch buzzes when a milestone is reached, which can then be seen by tilting or tapping the watch.

Heart rate zone:You’ll also see a new heart rate zone gauge to track your workout intensity at the top of the screen. The zones range from low, moderate to intense. Heart Points can be earned when the gauge is in the moderate and intense heart rate zones. Google Fit on your smartphone

Downloading the Google Fit smartphone app is the best way to make the most of the fitness experience on Wear OS by Google devices.

In the app you can take quick actions such as logging your weight or blood pressure. You can also connect your smartphone to sleep tracking devices or apps to track your nightly activity, view sleep stages, set a goal for your bedtime schedule and more.

Social sharing

You can celebrate your workout achievements and inspire others with social sharing on Google Fit.

Shareable sessions include workouts and breathing exercises on Google Fit or any tracked activity from other workout apps.
