Ms. Giesa is a professional mechanical engineer, certified industrial hygienist (CIH), and certified professional (CSP) with experience in building science evaluations, and safety evaluations, building mechanical evaluations and compliance. With her crossover expertise in both industrial hygiene and building mechanical systems, Ms. Giesa is well versed in a plethora of evaluations and the evaluation of associated building systems and envelopes.

As a certified industrial hygienist (CIH), Ms. Giesa has experience in environmental evaluations, health and safety plan development, building science evaluations, and workplace hazardous materials identification. She is a certified AHERA building inspector and designer and has the ability to provide asbestos abatement plans and oversight. She is experienced in mold evaluations and can provide remediation protocols and oversight. She has experience in including biological and microbial impact evaluations in buildings, exposure assessments, smoke/fire residue impact evaluations in buildings, water intrusion/condensation evaluations, lead and asbestos investigations, odor evaluations, workplace and exposures, and otherwise general indoor air quality evaluations.

As a certified safety professional (CSP), Ms. Giesa has experience in safety evaluations including safety audits, code compliance, warnings, risk assessments, safety plan reviews, and site specific safety plans. Ms. Giesa is also versed in regulatory compliance such as OSHA, FSMA, ADA, etc. Ms. Giesa has also been involved in the development of health and safety plans, health and safety training and monitoring. Expertise areas also include respiratory protection, PPE , and job analyses.

Ms. Giesa is a professional mechanical engineer with experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) , construction, and specification of residential and commercial buildings, including building, mechanical and plumbing code compliance, LEED compliance, and building performance compliance. She performs indoor air quality evaluations relating to HVAC, building envelope, and the environment. She also performs forensic evaluations involving HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems.
