The Carolina Thunder travel baseball team participated in the Autumn Showdown II tournament at Timken Sports Complex this past weekend. Pitchers Bentley Burr, Matthew Caldwell, Kent Tucker and Anthony McLaren all saw time on the mound. Burr led the tournament with 12 strikeouts. Coach Lynn Clendenin said he saw lead- ership at the plate from Matthew Caldwell, Mitchell Clendenin and Kent Tucker. The Carolina Thunder has been invit- ed to numerous tournaments throughout South Carolina with different organizations. Clendenin said the coaches are pondering future destinations for the Carolina Thunder baseball team to participate during the rest of the fall and spring seasons. The coaches, players and parents would like to thank Timken Sport Complex, Ronnie Wade and Steve Walton for their Bentley Burr on the mound.
