Game, Set and Match – Kia And The 2015 Australian Open Massive upsets, a new wave of Aussie young guns, incredible crowds and two champions of the game taking back their crown – Australian Open 2015 had it all! Having sponsored the Australian Open since 2002, it was great to once again see Kia’s name in lights! Let’s recap and take a look at what made this tournament so special. Here at Werribee Kia we consider ourselves pretty lucky to have our brand associated with one of the finest sporting events in the world. Kia plays a key role in supporting the players and promoting the growth of the game through numerous activities in and around Melbourne Park. Every year, more than 100 shiny new Kia cars are supplied to the Australian Open to make sure all of our favourite tennis stars get to and from the game in comfort, safety and style. The Kia Lucky Drive program was a smash hit once again in 2015, inviting tennis fans from around the globe to experience Australian Open fever – an absolutely unforgettable experience for all the winners. And, following on from last year’s success, the Kia Greatest Fan competition returned better than a Djokovic forehand! Fans were asked to show just how ‘die-hard’ they were by uploading their fan photos online or using one of the Kia Greatest Fan Photo Booths on-site. With a brand new Go-Pro up for grabs, the response was massive! Check out the hilarious entries and make sure to support your favourites. It mightn’t have been able to handle a tennis racquet that well, but the Wolverine-inspired Kia Sorento sure attracted a lot of attention at the open. The customised and re-modelled adamantium-themed Sorrento was part of a global online promotion featuring a tennis star with some super powers of his own – the one, the only, Rafael Nadal. Speaking of on-court stars, let’s give a mental clap to our two deserving winners – the Men’s Singles winner, Novak Djokovic, and the Women’s Singles winner, Serena Williams. These two have dominated the Open during their incredible careers - that’s five now for Novak and six for Serena! Who would argue against them going back-to-back next year? Not us, that’s for sure. Well done to both champions. Whilst the curtain has closed on a thrilling Australian Open 2015, our most exciting competition of all is still in action. How does a trip to the tennis in Paris sound? Pretty good, we’re guessing. This mind-blowing competition includes two return airfares, all transfers, accommodation, two tickets to the tennis and $3000 spending money. Entering is fun and easy. Simply book a test drive of your favourite Kia car (at Werribee Kia of course!), grab your unique code upon completion of your drive and enter online at kia.com.au/win. So there you have it. Australian Open 2015 is done and dusted. What drama, tension and excitement will it provide next year? We can’t wait to find out. As always, for the latest on all things Kia - you’re in the right place. Werribee Kia Werribee KIA (LMCT 8938) - 22 Morris Road, Hoppers Crossing, VIC 3029 Phone: Sales Hotline - 1300 054 385.
