The Minor Theatre and the Metropolitan Bring Ten Live Transmissions From the Legendary Met Stage to Cinema Audiences Nationwide

ARCATA – We're about to launch our third full season of the presented in our very own Minor Theatre's main auditorium- joining over 700 theatres acrross the world for these exciting live events. We would like to thank our returning Patrons Cafe Brio and Gabriel's Italian Restuarant and all of our Supporter Level Pass Holders for joining us in bringing world-class performing arts to Humboldt.

Our long-standing partnership with the Met continues to draw hundreds of thousands of fans, and we are thrilled to help bring these incredible productions to the big screen.”

Due to staffing/programming concerns we are not able to offer the Encore Performances for this season. This means tickets for the live events will likely sell out quickly each time. There may be exceptions depending on demand.

Turnadot - Franco Zeffirelli’s spectacular production returns to cinemas, with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Met’s Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, conducting his first Puccini opera with the company.

Wozzeck - Berg’s 20th-century shocker stars Peter Mattei in the title role, with Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin on the podium and soprano Elza van den Heever as the long- suffering Marie. January 11th, 2020. Doors 9:15AM. Showtime 9:55AM. Runtime 2hrs.

The Gershwins’ - The Gershwins’ modern American masterpiece has its first Met performances in almost three decades, starring bass-baritone Eric Owens and soprano Angel Blue in the title roles. Tosca - Superstar soprano appears in her 16th Live in HD transmission, taking on the soaring title diva of Puccini’s grand melodrama.
