STEM: A new STEM research lab, as well as the renovation of the already 15 Cornell University existing science classrooms, was recently made at Minnehaha. The new STEM 20 UC Berkeley lab is approximately 3,000 square feet of new space that will be divided and enhance many science offerings in grades 9 through 12. 20 Emory University Applied Research and Engineering: Minnehaha Academy is the first and only 24 UCLA school in the Midwest to offer a program for students to develop a science experiment that is placed aboard the International Space Station. Students 24 Carnegie Mellon University plan, test, document, and launch a micro-lab experiment for the US National 27 University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Laboratory. Minnehaha Academy is the only school in the Midwest to offer this program, and students who participated were mentored by seven 36 New York University professional engineers, geneticists, and computer programmers as well as 44 University of California-San Diego two Minnehaha Academy science teachers. Cultural Field Experience: Students participate in a week-long on-site *2017 US News and World Report, National Universities learning experience where students are exposed to people and communities that are different than their own to encourage understanding and help students discover their gifts. Intern Leadership Program: Interns oversee a particular area such as service, school spirit, academic support, chapel, athletics, publicity, and social activities. Minnehaha Academy counselors represent the school by maintaining professional relationships with colleges and universities throughout the country. We do this by participating in college admissions conferences, professional organizations, and by touring schools throughout the year. Academic Services: The school partners with Cambridge Network to offer College Prep and Language Culture (CPLC), an Academic Program designed to meet the needs of secondary-level international students; enabling them to improve their English skills and academic performance, and improve their chances in getting accepted into top colleges and universities. The program is available for students of all English levels, including college essay writing for advanced students and test preparation for TOEFL, SAT and/or ACT tests. Whether working one-on-one or in a graded class, the experienced faculty gives students the extra time and attention necessary for academic success and improved prospects for college admissions. CPLC is available both online or onsite, and is determined prior to each academic year based on the international student program size.

She is one of only four 2017 Distinguished Graduates Debate Team Diversity Club of Minnehaha Academy. Betty will be attending the University of Washington, Seattle to study French Club Jazz Band engineering in the fall of 2017. She participated Journalism Math Team in the Math Team that took 2nd place in the Beta Division for the 2017 MN State Math Tournament. He went on to record and mix Michael Jackson's "Thriller," the best-selling album in the history of recorded music. The list of artists that he has recorded also includes Duke Ellington, Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, and many more. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the University of Technology in Sweden. School Accreditation & Recognition The school is accredited by NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) and ISACS (Independent School Association of the Central States). The school received a Minnesota Independent School Forum award for their International Space Station Program.
