EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS MARCH 1ST! 2014 MARKS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF COLORADO'S 25 SCENIC & HISTORIC BYWAYS!

We appreciate all that you do for our 25 Byways, so, to Commemorate this important milestone, the state Colorado Byways Office is having a Conference this June 19 (Thursday) & June 20(Friday), 2014 at the Ameristar Event Center & Casino in Black Hawk, CO!

The Conference will begin with a Reception and Awards Dinner on Thursday, with Byway Workshops on planning the future of Colorado's Byways.

Workshops include New Technologies, Fundraising, Board Development, Volunteer Training, 'Healthy Highways', Historic Preservation to name a few. A tour of the Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway is available on Friday afternoon.

Gold Belt Tour Length: 131 miles. Driving time: 5 hours.

Royal Gorge Bridge This 131-mile circuit tours historic Cripple Creek, Florence, McCourt, Adelaide, Wilbur, Victor, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument other former gold camps. Majestic Pikes Peak, Garden Park Dinosaur Fossil Area the unspoiled Beaver Creek Wilderness Study Area, spectacular Royal Gorge, and miles of high-country beauty. Top of the Rockies Length: 115 miles. Driving time: 3 hours.

Arkansas Headwaters State Recreation Area This 82-mile route crosses the Continental Arkansas River Headwaters State Park Divide twice and traces the Arkansas River National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum nearly to its source in the vicinity of Fremont Healy House Museum Pass. The small communities of Redcli , White River National Forest Minturn, and Twin Lakes add charm.
