INVENTIVE DISCOVERERS & CRITICAL THINKERS A MESSAGE FROM HONOREES, LOUANNE & DAVID:

“The principle goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered.” Jean Piaget, 1971

Creativity, discovery, critical questioning. These are qualities that span education and business and reflect the ideals that have driven our respective careers.

We need leaders who are creative, inventive discoverers and critical thinkers in every endeavor, including business, academia and government. Education is the fountain of these qualities. Through our involvement in ORT we’ve seen these qualities instilled in individuals and linked to their families, communities and beyond to the world. In Israel, we saw students who, through ORT, are rising above challenging backgrounds and contributing to Israel’s stability and growth. We’ve met a graduate of the ORT school in Moscow whose ORT experiences provided a high quality STEM education to her and her classmates, preparing them for business leadership roles. This education also instilled tolerance in students of any religion, helping them become exemplary citizens of the world.

A better future for our world starts with creative, inventive discoverers. We believe that ORT is an important catalyst for nurturing these future leaders.
