ORIGINAL: PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the May 2021 free PS5 and PS4 games reveal. The May 2021 PlayStation Plus free games should be unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm BST on April 28. There is, however, a chance that Sony could hold the announcement back until this week's State of Play event on April 29. Express Online will update this article when the games are revealed. Once the PS Plus free games have been announced, the titles will be available to download less than a week later on May 4. If that date sounds familiar, it's because May 4 is also known as Star Wars Day. This has led to speculation that Sony will treat PlayStation Plus subscribers to a Star Wars game. Based on the predictions over on Reddit, the most obvious choices are either Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, or Star Wars Squadrons. With Sony giving away countless first-party releases over the last year, others believe Uncharted: Lost Legacy could make an appearance. Other first-party games that haven't already been included with PS Plus include Gravity Rush 2, The Order 1886, Marvel's Spider-Man and racing simulation GT Sport. Related articles. As for the PS5 free game, Terminator Resistance gets a few mentions, especially with the PS5 upgrade tipped to launch soon. Other PS5 predictions include Planet Coaster, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, The Pathless, Godfall and Marvel's Avengers. Created in conjunction with the Barrett family and The Estate of Roger Barrett, who have provided unprece- dented access to family photographs, artworks, and mem- Mories, Barrett offers an intimate portrait of the Syd known only to his family and closest friends. Previously unseen photographs taken on seaside holidays and other family occasions show us a happy and loving young man, smiling energetically in images that map his early life, from childhood through his teenage years. Along with newly available photos from the album cover shoots for The Madcap Laughs and Barrett (taken by Storm Thorgerson and Mick Rock) they reveal the positive energy of a grinning Syd as he fools about in front of the camera. We are offered a rare glimpse of one who was immensely popular among friends and contemporaries. Also contained within these pages are recently unearthed images of Pink Floyd in which we see Syd practising handstands, making muscle-man poses, and having fun. The other members of Floyd lark about too – a fledgling young band enjoying itself with a sense of real camaraderie. The images transport one back in time to 166–67: the London Free School gigs, the launch of International Times at the Roundhouse, the UFO club, the band’s first European dates. There are photos of Syd and Floyd at numerous locations and events, giving a real sense of what it must have been like to be there as the infant light shows, experimentation, and collective spirit of the time emerged, grew, and flourished in the psychedelic hothouse that was the late 160s.

It was since reprinted in a limited run by the Orange Sunshine (Pill) Press in 1986, and sold through the pages of Syd Barrett fanzines Opel and Terrapin (both of which have been defunct for some time). In 1997, arrangements were being made for Brain Damage, the International Pink Floyd Magazine, to do a fresh printing of this work. Tragically, shortly after publishing an interview with Malcolm, and commencing arrangements for this, Malcolm passed away. The desire to make this important and fascinating work available again to all Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett fans, has never died. With the return of Brain Damage, this time as a website, the opportunity to rekindle this project arose. This new, twenty-first anniversary edition of the “The Making of The Madcap Laughs” is being made available as a tribute to Malcolm Jones. We have faithfully transcribed from the original, to ensure this is the most complete version currently available.
