SEPTEMBER 2020 PuBLIc ENgAgEMENTS Council has scheduled two public engagement sessions for September 2020 that will focus on the proposed oil & gas assessment model review, changes to the province’s police costing model, roads, and revitalization. These will occur on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Alder Flats Community Hall and Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Community Hall. These evenings will be broken into three sections. The first section will provide information on the new police costing model and the proposed oil & gas assessment model review, and what that means for the County of Wetaskiwin. The second section will focus on County roads and specifically the level of service related to snow clearing, dust control, and general road maintenance. The last section will focus on Council’s strategic direction to develop a hamlet revitalization plan. Feedback gathered at these engagements will be presented to Council during Strategic Planning. This engagement will be available on-line and in-person. In order to ensure a safe engagement, COVID-19 guidelines will be in place for the in-person sessions. Each session has an attendee cap of 50 people, including municipal staff and Council. If you wish to participate in-person, please register on the County website for the date and time you will be attending.
