Sure, I taught Jessica in English, I was Susan’s headmaster, and I cheered both of them on from track-side, but I really had no claim to their success. Nevertheless, I felt buoyed by their rise to Olympic status. So did hundreds of others, and why not? They are part of us! This message is at the heart of this issue of the Hilltopper. youth.
