Badal under delusion of Modi wave while BJP sees none: Bajwa By : INVC Team Published On : 14 Apr, 2014 08:50 PM IST

INVC, Gurdaspur, The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa, today said the Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and his Deputy Chief Minister son, Mr. , were under the delusion of Narendra Modi wave which the senior leaders from their alliance partner, the , had out rightly denied. Mr. Bajwa, who it pitted against actor from Mumbai and paratrooper candidate from the BJP Mr. Vinod Khanna and a rank opportunist from the Aam Aadmi Party, Mr. Sucha Singh Chhotepur, in Gurdaspur, said the Badals should do some reality check in view of the denial of any such wave by one of the senior most BJP leaders, Mr. , the former Union minister who himself was contesting the election and who had formulated the party manifesto. He said the Badals were promising everything under the moon to the people in the state in case Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister whereas the BJP leaders themselves were not so sure of forming the government. He said what was all the more ridiculous was that the Badals were trying to befool the people saying that the development of the state depended entirely upon the government at the centre thereby abdicating the responsibility of the state government. He said the constitution was clear about the areas of responsibility of the centre and the state governments. None stopped the Badal government from creating an environment conducive to investment but the reasons for the industrialists not coming forward to invest in Punjab were different and best known to the Deputy Chief Minister. The entrepreneurs would not like to take any risk in a state where the rulers have tried to monopolized almost every business. He said the fact of the matter was that the Badal government had failed to avail of the central schemes due to lack of vision and initiative and inability to contribute its share. Not only that. The funds coming from the centre had been diverted to other schemes and this complicated the situation. The PPCC chief called upon Mr. Badal to learn lesson from the observations of Mr. Joshi who had rejected the Gujarat model as a panacea for all the problems in the country. He said the problems of this border state were different from that of Gujarat and the same time, one should not gloss over the fact that the social indices in that so called model state were below the national average. S. Partap Singh Bajwa campaigned in villages Hardam and Lole Nangal of Gurdaspur Parliamentary Constituency alongwith Ajay Verma, Raju Gharala, Manjeet Singh, Surinder Singh, Surinder Ex-Sarpanch, Parveen Dorangla, Bhinda Dorangla, Sumit Verma, Ex-Sarpanch and Kulwant Singh. www.internationalnewsandviews.com URL : https://www.internationalnewsandviews.com/badal-under-delusion-of-modi-wave-while-bjp-sees-none-bajwa/
