INVC NEWS Chandigarh, The Shiromani today ridiculed the PPCC Preisdent Capt for his tall claims on eradication of inspector raj to promote industry in Punjab said that it seems that the former CM lives in fool’s paradise as GST is all set to replace taxation system in the country. In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Spokesman and advisor to Punjab Deputy CM, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was surprising to see the tall claims of PPCC Chief in promotion of industry as he was the biggest enemy of the Industry of the state. He reminded the former CM that he was the first to order closure of refinery project when he became CM in the state whereas foundation stone of the refindery, which was single largest investment of the time, was laid by then PM Mr. in the presence of S. Parkash Singh Badal during the during his stint as CM. Mr Sirsa also reminded the former CM that during his whole tenure as Chief Minister he miserable failed to bring any concrete investment in the state. He said that different units functioning in the state were all established during the tenure of Akali governments of the time. The SAD leader also reminded the Congress leader that it is the SAD-BJP combine government which has brought investment worth thousands of crores in the shape of thermal plants, installed Bathinda refinery and also brought a large number of industrial units in the state. He also reminded the former CM that he was the one who had opposed the revival of Bathinda refinery project when the SAD-BJP combine came to power in 2007. Mr. Sirsa said that Amarinder’s claim on reducing taxes or abolition of inspector raj indicate that he is not aware of what the Chief Ministers of the different states and Centre were doing on GST. He said that Finance Ministers of the states have met as members of GST council met several times to enable it to fix charges for implementation of GST. He also urged the former Chief Minister to learn to remain in the people even after the election so that he can get latest information on what is going on in the state and country.
