Start: Cob Close, Crawley Down Grid Ref: TQ 354 375 Distance : Approx 7.5 kms (5 miles) Maps: OS Landranger 1:50 000, Sheet 187 & OS Explorer 1:25 000, Sheet 135 Refreshments: Local shops & public houses (open Sundays) in Crawley Down & East Grinstead Directions: Starting at Cob Close, walk along Worth Way for about 1km, (0.75 miles) and turn right onto the public footpath (a section of the Sussex Border Path) towards Tilkhurst Farm, passing through the kissing gate. Just before the farm, turn left towards Imberhorne Lane. Cross over the lane and continue towards East Grinstead, passing over the old railway line and through Hill Place Farm until you reach the main road (B2110). Turn left and walk along the pavement towards East Grinstead. Just before the mini-roundabout you can link up with the High Weald Landscape Trail. Alternatively follow Brooklands Way and the signs for the railway station and join up with Worth Way again at the station car park. From here you can return to your starting point. Then catch the 291 bus back home. N.B. From East Grinstead High Street you can link up with the Forest Way Country Park walk.
