SCHOOL PROFILE FALL 2019

MISSION The MASTERS Program is committed to the development of engaged, compassionate students who value academic excellence and education beyond high school, service to others and creating a conscious community.

SCHOOL PROGRAM The MASTERS Program is an early college public charter high school located on the campus of Santa Fe Community College in Santa Fe, NM. Students are selected to attend through a lottery. TMP serves students in grades 9 – 12, offering high school level and/or college classes depending on individual academic level. TMP teachers are licensed by the State of New Mexico and trained in the Socratic approach to education, which emphasizes coaching and seminar discussions, along with lectures, that teach higher level thinking skills. Community service is required for all students every year and is integrated into a Friday Project learning experience in the Santa Fe community. Current projects range from trail maintenance for the county to video production to working on a Habitat for Humanity building project.

ACCREDITATION The MASTERS Program is a state charter high school under the jurisdiction of the Public Education Department. TMP has received an “A” rating from the State of New Mexico for the past six years and is in the top 5% of public schools in New Mexico. In 2015, TMP was also accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
