LINDEN COMMUNITY DISCOVERY NIGHT Community Discovery Night was a successful event. There was over 130 people in attendance. VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON The Linden & District Agricultural Society is having a free BBQ lunch to thank all the wonderful volunteers in our community. Come out for a volunteer luncheon from 11:30 am – 1 pm at across from AG Foods in the empty lot to celebrate volunteerism in our community. Come enjoy some free food and delightful company. Acme Daycare News The Acme Daycare is conveniently located beside Acme School and can accommodate children ages one year old to six years old! We are open from 6:30 until 6:00 weekdays. The Acme Daycare is run by a non-profit society, the Acme Daycare Association. We invite you to find more information about us by paying a visit to our website www.acmedaycare.com !!!

Linden Care & Share The March Care & Share gathering will be held April 21st with the regular pot luck at 5:30 followed by a speaker. “Personal Directives, Power of Attorney and Wills” with by Mr. Dan Huff, a Lawyer from Red Deer, AB. The 3rd Annual White Elephant Sale is coming up. This will be held Friday, May 6th, 4 – 9 pm, Saturday, May 7th, 9 am – 5 pm & finish up Sunday afternoon from 2 -4 pm. Please gather up the items you are willing to donate & bring them to the Care & Share on the Friday before 4 pm. Please donate gently used clothes, any household items & men love tools. Remember what you don't need might be a treasure for someone else. This is a fundraiser for the Linden Care and Share Society. We encourage All Donations. Thanks. Call 403-546-2530 for further info. We are looking for more volunteers, and members, so if you are willing to join our 50 and over club, come and see where you can get involved. We would love to have you. We continue to have our 10:00 a.m. Tuesday coffee, all are welcome, come and have coffee with us, and if you feel like playing some board games, we have that as well. Note: We do rent out the hall, it seats max 100. IMPORTANT DATES AND EVENTS (Organized & Facilitated by Seniors Outreach) - Contact the Seniors Outreach Office if you wish to join us on any of these events or are available to volunteer with any of the needed activities (403-443-2555):

1. VOLUNTEER NEEDS: 1 Caring Visitor and 1 Caring Car Driver needed for Linden. If you have a few hours each month to help out folks in your community please contact us at the Seniors Outreach office. 2. MEALS-ON-WHEELS – In Need of Meals - If you are in need of meals to be brought in during a time period (seniors, disabled, etc.), please contact the Seniors Outreach Office the week before you are in need of the meals. Volunteer drivers are available to deliver these meals in Acme & area. 3. SENIORS OUTREACH HAPPENINGS - - - Call for Ticket Prices, Bus Costs, Location, Times, etc. & Book [403-443-2555] Contact the Seniors Outreach Office for monthly Bus Trips or activities. -Friday, April 29, 2016 – Philharmonic Orchestra Open Rehearsal – “Symphonie Fantastique” -Friday, May 6, 2016 – Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Open Rehearsal – “Prokofiev & Tchaikovsky” with Karen Gomyo 4. ATV/DIRT MOTORBIKE/SNOWMOBILE RIDERS The use of any ATV, motorized dirt bike or snowmobile is prohibited on village property, including all parks and other green spaces, landing strip, roads and alleyways. The village does not offer trails or public property access for any motorized off-road vehicles. These vehicles cause damage to the village property and it’s the taxpayers that suffer in the end. Before you ride, think of your neighbours. It is a safety issue as well as a property damage issue.

ACCESS KIDSPORT KNEEHILL KidSport Kneehill is a volunteer committee that believes all children should have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. To help make this possible, KidSport Kneehill provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organize sports. KidSport Kneehill was able to support 63 youth to a total of $8,708.30 2015! This would not be possible without the generous support of local private and corporate donors. Thank-you! It is our hope that qualified families will continue to enroll their children in organized sport activities. School sports, minor hockey, pond hockey, curling, figure skating, soccer, swimming, dance, fencing…there is something for everyone!
