Purdue University Fast Start

Indiana students have the opportunity to take their first steps toward admission with the Purdue Fast Start Program. Purdue’s partnership with Modern States, a philanthropy and online learning program for earning college credit, provides free courses and textbooks online plus vouchers to pay for credit bearing exams. Passing five courses, the corresponding CLEP exams, and meeting Purdue’s standard admissions requirements assures admission to Purdue. Additionally, Purdue’s Fast Start program is a great option for students to take college prep coursework that may be unavailable to them with virtual learning limitations. College Board Opportunity Scholarships

The College Board has launched a new scholarship program that awards scholarship opportunities to students planning to attend college for the fall of 2021. The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program helps guide students through the college planning process with a chance to earn scholarships for each step they complete, from $500 to $40,000. Gilda’s Club Write Stuff Contest

Gilda’s Club Louisville will be holding “The Write Stuff” Teen Writing and Visual Arts Contest. The contest is open to all middle and high school students in Kentucky and Southern Indiana who have been impacted by cancer. Students who have been diagnosed with cancer or had a family member diagnosed may submit an original essay, poem, two-dimensional artwork or video. Prizes will be awarded. Indiana University Scholarships

Any student applying to Indiana University Bloomington can be considered for a variety of scholarships including the ’s Scholarship for Indiana freshmen, the Dean’s Scholarship for out-of-state freshmen, Cox Scholarship for service-minded students and Selective Scholarship Application consideration for specific IU schools and programs. Army ROTC Scholarships

Army ROTC offers generous merit-based scholarships to qualified students. The program is offered at 274 colleges around the United States and offers opportunities for full tuition, tax-free allowances for books, supplies, equipment and fees. Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Prudential Financial Spirit of Community Awards

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honors students in grades 5-12 for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Your Path Scholarship

The Your Path Scholarship renders $500 scholarships to black students who are academically successful high school seniors, aspiring to major or minor in the arts (Theater, Film TV, Dance, Music,) etc. planning to attend a historically Black college or university. The student must have an overall unweighted grade point average of 2.8 or above. The application deadline is November 15, 2020. The online application for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship is available starting on November 1, 2020, at jackierobinson.org. Through the JRF application, more than 4,000 talented young minority high school students apply to become JRF Scholars and carry on the civic-minded legacy of the foundation's namesake, Jackie Robinson.
