PREMIERES ORIGINAL ANIMATED COMEDY SERIES ""

Mumbai, January 30, 2008: Disney Channel will premiere its original ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ an imaginative comedy from noted producers (‘’) and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh (‘’), in a month-long global programming event entitled Phineas and Ferb-ruary, beginning FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1 on Disney Channel.

Produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, Disney Channel will air Phineas and Ferb everyday at 11 a.m. throughout February. "Phineas and Ferb" will then feature in a Leap Year marathon on the channel on February 29, 2008.

Aparna Bhosle, Director –Programming and Production, Walt Disney Television International (India) said, “The series reflects Disney Channel themes of ‘follow your dreams’, ‘believe in yourself’ and ‘celebrate your family’. A combination of well-told stories of relationships and great action, this series is designed to appeal to both boys and girls across all markets.”

The 2D animated comedy tells the story of step-brothers Phineas Flynn and who set out to conquer boredom and make every day of their 104-day summer vacation count but their older sister, Candace, gets frantic at her brothers' extraordinary adventures, and makes it her life's work to tattle on them to Mom and Dad.

As the series unfolds, Phineas and his stepbrother, Ferb, build a backyard beach complete with surf competition, create a new season -- one with both sun and snow -- called "swinter," and assemble a theme park-sized roller coaster, all just outside their back door. Throughout the escapades they're accompanied by , their seemingly mindless family pet. But unbeknownst to everyone, including Phineas and Ferb, Perry is also Agent P, a suave secret operative who faces off with the ridiculously evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Each episode opens with Phineas and Ferb figuring out what they want to do that day and by the end, three storylines converge: 1) Phineas and Ferb's adventure, 2) Candace's attempt to juggle typical teen concerns while tattling on her brothers and 3) Perry the Platypus battling the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

The series' humor is clever and has many levels of sophistication designed to entertain kids and parents alike. Beyond the stories of a modern step-family and the boys' ingenuity is a relatable tale of siblings with a wide array of interests and the imagination and fortitude to make their dreams a reality. The series has funny and familiar characters, a new twist on the relatable school vacation mode, and a great combination of witty and physical humor that kids and families will enjoy together.
