Lisa Lampanelli 22 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JULY 24, 2012 BOULEVARD CASINO PRESENTS LISA LAMPANELLI LIVE AT THE RED ROBINSON SHOW THEATRE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 Coquitlam, BC – Heralded as "more than a stand-up – standout" by comedy legend Jim Carrey, insult comic Lisa Lampanelli is a cross between Don Rickles, “Archie Bunker” and a vial of estrogen. She even won accolades from The King of All Media, Howard Stern who called her "a true original and a brilliant comedy mind who'll steal the show every time." Her rise to the top of the comedy food chain began in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast. In 2003, she rocked Comedy Central once again in her back-to-back appearances on Premium Blend and on the enormously rated Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy … again, the only female invited to roast the man of honour. In 2005, Lampanelli’s one-hour special, Take It Like a Man was a hit with the network yet again while the DVD hit #6 on the comedy charts. Then in 2007, her second one-hour special, Dirty Girl debuted on Comedy Central and was released on Warner Bros. Records reaching #4 on the charts. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for ”Best Comedy Album of the Year”. Her feature film appearances include Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce and The Aristocrats. In 2009, her book, Chocolate, Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat and Freaks was released. Earlier this year, she was a contestant on the fifth installment of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice where she earned a spot in the Final Four. Known for saying things that most people are afraid to think, Lampanelli continues to perform her gut-busting performances at venues across North America and will be appearing at Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre on October 26, 2012. • Lisa Donovan Has Been Hailed by Critics As an All- Around Entertainer Who Can Do It All
Lisa Donovan has been hailed by critics as an all- around entertainer who can do it all. As an actress, she won an award from the Southern California Motion Picture Council as "Outstanding Newcomer of the Year." As a singer, Lisa consistently receives rhapsodic reviews from the toughest critics in the business. As a comedienne, she's been praised for performing comedy with Lucille-Ball-like precision timing. And as a dancer, she received high critical praise from no less a publication than The New York Times. Lisa just finished a two-year run as Mother Superior in the delightful, world-famous musical comedy NUNSENSE at the now-named Westgate Hotel, formerly the Las Vegas Hilton, the hotel Elvis Presley called home. Lisa proved her enormous singing range on the long-running television show FACE THE MUSIC, which was broadcast first in national syndication and later on cable networks for more than a decade. On that show Lisa performed everything from soft rock to light opera and set some Guiness-type world records. In all, she sang parts of more than eleven thousand musical numbers. On the New York stage, Lisa starred in a revival of BABES IN ARMS, directed by the legendary Ginger Rogers, who hand-picked Lisa for the role. That's the play in which Lisa received all that praise from The New York Times, which actually likened her to a young Ginger Rogers. Lisa has performed non-musically as well. On the stage in Los Angeles, she played all three female roles in Sean Waldron's chilling drama about atomic radiation poisoning.

There's nothing funny about it. But survival, and what it takes to survive, there can be humor in that.” -Rob Reiner, Director “I am…privy to many of the films that are released on a yearly basis about the Holocaust. I cannot think of one project that has taken the approach of THE LAST LAUGH. THE LAST LAUGH dispels the notion that there is nothing new to say or to reveal on the subject because this aspect of survival is one that very few have explored in print and no one that I know of has examined in a feature documentary.” -Richard Tank, Executive Director at the Simon Wiesenthal Center SHORT SYNOPSIS THE LAST LAUGH is a feature documentary about what is taboo for humor, seen through the lens of the Holocaust and other seemingly off-limits topics, in a society that prizes free speech.
