July 3rd will be the ninth anniversary of the ill- fated flight of Amelia Earhart and for this reason July is the logical month to devote to the Scholar ship Fund which the NINETY-NINES set up as a memo rial to their FIRST President.

The fund is contributed ty members of the NlhETY- NINES and the Scholarship is awarded to 99 members only.

The resolution adopted at the Annual Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1941 provides an annual scholarship award for advanced of the value of $150.00 for a member who has had 200 hours or more of solo flying. The resolution also pro vides that no payments can be made from the fund until it has reached a total of $5000.00 and then only the income from the investment of the principal can be used to finance the award.

At present the scholarship account amounts to over #3500.00 and is drawing a small interest in a sav MAY 15, 1946 ings account. -k.
