Craig is a principal of the general partner of Arden Real Estate Partners I and II LP’s (“AREP”), Arden’s discretionary fund platform. In addition to leading Arden, Craig has participated in several non-real estate ventures including the acquisition and subsequent sale of Admiralty Bank to Royal Bank of Canada in February 2003. He is also a founding board member of Anchor Commercial Bank based in Palm Beach, Florida. Craig was Founder/Co-Owner with Jon Bon Jovi of the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team. Craig and Jon also established and are the Co-Chairmen of the JBJ Soul Foundation, which has provided over 500 housing units along with educational programs to homeless men and women and opened its first Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ in 2011, which has now served over 46,000 meals. The second Soul Kitchen opens in Toms River, NJ in early 2016. Spencer is a licensed attorney who specialized in real estate, banking and bankruptcy law. 2016 MEDIA GUIDE 3 OWNERSHIP RON JAWORSKI Majority Owner After a 17 year distinguished career as an NFL quarterback, today Jaworski is coaching football fans on TV with a multiplatform NFL analyst role that includes appearances on Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown, NFL Matchup, NFL-branded specials, Mike & Mike in the Morning, Pardon the Interruption, and other platforms and shows throughout the year. ESPN’S Mike Tirico said, “If you made a list of 10 guys on TV in any sport as an analyst who you’d want to have a beverage with and watch a game, he’s [Ron Jaworski] high on that list.” Before switching to his current multiplatform analyst role with ESPN, Ron spent five seasons in the booth with Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden as the color commentator for Monday Night Football. Jaworski’s passion for football can be traced back to his days as a kid growing up in the gritty steel town of Lackawanna, NY. A three-sport stand out in high school (football, basketball and baseball), Jaworski was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals out of high school. He wanted to go play baseball immediately, but his father pushed for college first, and Jaworski’s football talents brought him to Youngstown State where he excelled as the quarterback for the Penguins. The Los Angeles Rams drafted Jaworski in the second round of the 1973 NFL Draft. After four years with the Rams, Jaworski joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977. Under head coach Dick Vermeil and behind Jaworski’s ability and field leadership, the Eagles advanced to their first-ever berth in a Super Bowl vs. the Oakland Raiders. Jaworski finished the 1980 season as the No. 1-rated passer in the NFC and was the 1980 NFL MVP. Along the way, Ron became known as Jaws. The name was hung on him by his next-door neighbor at the time, Doug Collins, who was a star guard for the Philadelphia 76ers and today is their coach. “He didn’t come up with Jaws because of that shark movie, though.” Jaws says, “Doug said it was because my mouth was always open, talking.” Until Ron suffered a broken leg at St. Louis during the 13th game of the 1984 season, he had started 116 straight NFL games, a record for most consecutive starts. Jaws held that record until 1999, when Brett Favre broke it. Today, Jaworski lives in Southern New Jersey and is civically active. Jaworski is committed to the Jaws Youth Playbook, which focuses on a mission to improve the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth, primarily in the Greater Philadelphia Region. To date, the Jaworski family is proud to have donated over $4 million to at-risk youth. Ron owns an exclusive business development company called Business Clubs America as well as owning four Signature Golf courses in South Jersey- RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club, Valleybrook Country Club, Running Deer Golf Club, Blue Heron Pines, Downington Country Club, and Ramblewood Country Club. Jaworski also serves as the President of the Maxwell Football Club, Co-Majority Owner of the Philadelphia Soul and sits on the boards of PNC Bank and NFL Alumni Association. 4 PHILADELPHIA SOUL OWNERSHIP PETE CIARROCCHI Chairman and CEO, Chickie’s and Pete’s Pete Ciarrocchi enters his seventh season as a proud member of the Philadelphia Soul ownership group. Pete Ciarrocchi is the Chairman and CEO of Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar---the landmark Philadelphia restaurant chain recognized as the No. 1 sports bar in America. Chickie’s & Pete’s has become part of the fabric of the city of Philadelphia. For any avid sports fan, it is a “must stop” before, during, or after the game. Chickie’s & Pete’s began in 1977 as a comfortable, family-oriented, corner taproom where Pete experimented with and perfected his winning concept. Pete’s infectious, befriending enthusiasm, love of sports, and unique menu had the neighborhoods of the Great Northeast flocking. With the invention of Crabfries®, the world of Chickie’s & Pete’s was never the same. In 1998, Chickie’s & Pete’s became the first-ever private restaurant to operate within Veterans Stadium. The team and press-friendly environs were chosen as the site of Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid’s day-after-the-game press conferences.

  • Development, Evolution, and Bargaining in the National Football League
DEVELOPMENT, EVOLUTION, AND BARGAINING IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE Thomas Sisco The National Football League [hereinafter: NFL] is the most popular professional sports organization in the United States, but even with the current popularity and status of the NFL, ratings and the public perception of the on-field product have been on steady decline.1 Many believe this is a byproduct of the NFL being the only one of the 4 major professional sports leagues in the country without a self-controlled system for player development. Major League Baseball [hereinafter: MLB] has a prominent and successful minor league baseball system, the National Hockey League has the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League, the National Basketball Association [hereinafter: NBA] has the 22 team development league widely known as “The D- League”, but the NFL relies on the National Collegiate Athletic Association [hereinafter: NCAA] to develop young players for a career in their league. The Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League are generally inadequate in developing players for the NFL as the rules of gameplay and the field dimensions differ from those of NFL football.2 NFL Europe, a developmental league founded by Paul Tagliabue, former NFL Commissioner, has seen minor success.3 NFL Europe, existing by various names during its lifespan, operated from 1991 until it was disbanded in 2007.4 During its existence, the NFL Europe served as a suitable incubator for a 1 Darren Rovell, NFL most popular for 30th year in row, ESPN (January 26, 2014), http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/10354114/harris-poll-nfl-most-popular-mlb-2nd, .

GEORGE GODSEY CO-OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR/TIGHT ENDS COLLEGE: GEORGIA TECH NFL: 11TH SEASON DOLPHINS: THIRD SEASON George Godsey enters his 11th season as an NFL coach and third with the Dolphins after being named tight ends coach on Feb. 8, 2019. He was promoted to co-offensive coordinator/tight ends in 2021. Godsey has experience coaching on both sides of the football. In his 10 years (2011-20) as an NFL assistant coach, Godsey has been part of eight winning seasons, five division titles and one AFC Championship. His teams have compiled a .588 winning percentage. In 2020, Godsey oversaw the most productive tight end unit in Dolphins history. Mike Gesicki, Durham Smythe and Adam Shaheen combined for 91 receptions for 1,061 yards, both of which were team records for a tight end unit. The trio also tied the team’s tight end mark with 11 receiving touchdowns. Gesicki led the way with 53 receptions for 703 yards (13.3 avg.) and six touchdowns. His 703 yards were second-most by a tight end in Dolphins history and ranked fourth in the NFL that season. In his first year with the Dolphins in 2019, Godsey helped the second-year Gesicki improve from his rookie campaign. Gesicki caught five touchdowns in the final six games of the season, tied for the second-most by any NFL player in that span. His 51 receptions and 570 receiving yards were both fifth among AFC tight ends that season. Godsey spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Detroit Lions. He was a defensive assistant responsible for special projects in 2017 and was promoted to quarterbacks coach in 2018.
