This steam hauled service will consist of compartment carriages (for pre-booked round trips) boarding at Keighley and Haworth and open coaches (with the purchase of a Day Rover) boarding and alighting at Keighley, Ingrow and Haworth. Subject to availability, tickets for compartments may be available to purchase on the day. Fares For a degree of isolation for you and your family or group, the purchasing of a compartment for your party is an ideal way to enjoy a ride along the Worth Valley. If however you are comfortable in a more inclusive environment then to make the most of your visit, we recommend the purchase of a Day Rover Private Compartment : We’re offering pre-booked return journeys using private compartments, seating 1 – 6 people. Return journeys will depart from Haworth (Oxenhope bound ONLY) and Keighley, and will include a break at Oxenhope where you can stretch your legs and pose for photographs next to the engine. Day Rover Ticket : This ticket offers unlimited travel for a whole day allowing you to break your journey and travel about as you please. This ticket includes free entry to the Museum of Rail Travel and the Bahamas Locomotive Society's ‘Ingrow Loco’ exhibition - both at Ingrow West Station. Ideal for those wanting the complete day out. You are free to join any train which your ticket is valid for and travel as you please. In these coaches we are making all seats available for passengers to make their own choice about where to sit in the context of other passengers and whether they are also travelling with others. Small Family Ticket : This ticket is the same as the Rover Ticket but is for one Adult or Concession and one Child travelling together. Buy two Small Family Tickets and a third child can travel for FREE. Shopping Currently Haworth shop is open from 1000 - 1700 when trains are running and offers a range of 00 model railway items, railway related books, CDs and DVDs and children’s toys for all ages. Alternatively our online shop is now open, visit www.kwvr.co.uk/shop/ Oakworth During the filming of ‘The Railway Children Return’, Oakworth Station is closed and trains will not be stopping at this station. Oxenhope Oxenhope Station is currently only open for pedestrian access. There is no car parking at the station. The hours or times stated in the Company's Timetables, Books, Bills and Notices are appointed as those at which it is intended – so far as circumstances will permit - that the trains shall depart from and arrive at the several stations, but their departure or arrival at the time stated is not guaranteed, nor will the Company under any circumstances be held responsible for delay or detention, however occasioned, or any consequences arising therefrom.     D R A F T NOTES ON THE LORDSHIP AND MANOR OF STANBURY Pre-History Evidence of Mesolithic settlement on upland sites in the NW of West Yorkshire along the major watersheds; evidence from Stanbury Moor in the form of three geometric microliths. 1 Bronze Age Stone circle discovered near the site of Walshaw Dean reservoir (SD 967343) on Wadsworth Moor to the SW of Stanbury Moor. The circle, 11 metres in diameter, surrounded a smaller circle, also built of stones. A second circle (SD 96213155) surveyed by the Ordnance Survey in 1962 thought to be a hut circle rather than a ceremonial circle. 2 Numerous additional National Monuments are also situated within the boundaries of the Manor of Stanbury. Anglo-Saxon Place-name: Old English Stan Burh “Stone Fortification”. Editor notes (1961) that “no trace of the fortification remains”. 3 “It is extremely difficult to isolate specific Mercian place-names. Even those containing definite Mercian forms, such as the inflected bury, rather than the uninflected borough from the OE burh (e.g. Stanbury, Dewsbury) may not go back to the 7th century, but may simply be the result of Mercian elements in the local dialect. Moreover, even if a place bears a probable Mercian name, this cannot be taken to indicate that it was actually occupied by Mercians.. It is, therefore, impossible at present to isolate specific Mercian settlements, but the possibility of their existence must be borne in mind in the course of future archaeological work in the county, especially in Agbrigg and Morley wapentakes, where the strongest evidence for Mercian influence is to be found in the place-names.” 4 Manor of Bradford held by Gamel.

    Our ref: 2387/21 Figures for incidents of drink spiking in your region over the last 5 years (year by year) I would appreciate it if the figures can be broken down to the nearest city/town. Can you also tell me the number of prosecutions there have been for the above offences and how many of those resulted in a conviction? Please see the attached document. West Yorkshire Police receive reports of crimes that have occurred following a victim having their drink spiked, crimes such as rape, sexual assault, violence with or without injury and theft. West Yorkshire Police take all offences seriously and will ensure that all reports are investigated. Specifically for victims of rape and serious sexual offences, depending on when the offence occurred, they would be offered an examination at our Sexual Assault Referral Centre, where forensic samples, including a blood sample for toxicology can be taken, with the victim’s consent, if within the timeframes and guidance from the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine. West Yorkshire Police work with support agencies to ensure that all victims of crime are offered support through the criminal justice process, including specialist support such as from Independent Sexual Violence Advisors. The LAG has agreed the overall vision for the CLLD area as: Keighley CLLD area, by 2022, will be an enterprising, aspirational and positive place, where: our people are personally accountable and able to develop resilience and self-esteem, increasing well-being; our businesses are innovative and productive, and supported to set up and grow; diversity is respected, understood and appreciated; there is connectivity, integration, networking, amongst businesses and residents; pathways are put into place to help us to upskill and ‘grow our own’; and encourage and support sustainable career progression; and the environment is clean, green and attractive. This strategy sets out the needs of the Keighley CLLD area and our proposed approach to investing £6m (£1.5m ESF, £1.5m ERDF, £2.1m Public resources and £0.9m private resources) to address these needs, capitalising on the strengths and opportunities in the area, whilst reducing the weaknesses and threats impacting on the economy, businesses and local population, thereby contributing to the achievement of the vision. 2. KEIGHLEY CLLD AREA The Keighley CLLD area is nine miles from Bradford City Centre and falls in the Bradford Metropolitan District Council local authority area, within Leeds City Region. Keighley is Bradford District’s largest town after the city centre. It became part of Bradford Metropolitan District in 1974.
