Gordon Landon, known as Markham’s Trade Ambassador, leads the Markham International Trade Centre. The longest serving City Councillor in Markham, Gordon was elected to a Ward Councillor seat in 1980 and a Regional Councillor chair in 1988. He served for a total of 31 years before retiring from the Markham Council in 2014.
