Opposition Messaging

ACT FOR AMERICA ACT for America’s national election messaging is devoid of references to and . The group launched a new campaign this year called “Back the Blue” aimed at supporting law enforcement officers. The campaign has sponsored “Back the Blue” several rallies around the country with some far-right activists, according to the SPLC. The hate group’s two other 2018 campaigns are currently “Secure our Borders” and “I Stand with .” Their website also lists two additional campaigns “coming soon,” one focused on free speech and another called “Open Eyes Save Lives.” ACT for America’s voter pledge lists the following three reasons to vote in the 2018 midterms: “secure borders,” “our constitutional rights are under attack,” and “end chain migration & the diversity visa lottery.”

ATTACKING MUSLIM AMERICANS RUNNING FOR OFFICE The Clarion Project, PJ Media, Pamela Geller, and other anti-Muslim media outlets have focused on attacking state Rep. and Rashida Tlaib specifically, and the idea of more Muslim Americans running for office generally. Their attacks can be summarized in the following issue areas, each illustrated by excerpts and headlines from relevant online content: Candidates are Running as Muslims instead of Americans ● Clarion Project: To be clear, the issue isn’t the number of Muslims running for office. The issue is that for many of these candidates, their aspirations for political office are motivated by further insulating their Islamic faith, rather than running on the premise of their American identity. Meaning, their faith comes first, and their national identity as Americans comes after. ● PJ Media: Here's the problem: Somalia is not just some Muslim country. It is one of the worst in the world for Islamic oppression (the third worst in the world for Christian persecution), and home of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. None of this necessarily indicts Omar, and the very fact that this Muslim woman ran for Congress speaks volumes about her attitude toward the oppression of women that is so tragically common among Muslims (and arguably endorsed by the ). ● PJ Media: As a voter and as a Christian, should a person's religion (or lack thereof) be a factor in casting a vote for a particular candidate? Normally, I would say "no," and I have voted for candidates who do not share my faith. But what if their faith dictates that our constitutional law MUST be supplanted and/or replaced by their religious law code, thus stripping all of us of our constitutional freedoms? More specifically, should I as a Christian vote for a Muslim? There are several things to consider: 1. There are many kinds of Muslims. 2. Sharia. 3. Taqiyya. 4. Jihadists are at war with us. Israel/Palestine and Anti-Semitism ● Clarion Project: If Omar secures a win, she will likely intensify hate and opposition to Israel’s right to exist.

● Pamela Geller: : Hijab-Wearing, Jew-Hating Muslima Ilhan Omar Wins Democratic Primary In Keith Ellison’s Old District.. She is a hijab-wearing, devout Muslim, and Islamic Jew- hatred is in the Quran. ● Pamela Geller on Rashida Tlaib: The Democrat party has made virulent a cause celebre. Norming Islamic Jew-hatred. ● Pamela Geller: I have long said the Democrats are the party of jihad and Jew-hatred, eliciting the well-worn catcalls and caterwauling of the left-wing smear merchants and goosestepping trolls. But no matter silky smooth the silver-tongued snakes are, reality keeps breaking through. ● Daily Wire: [Omar] has demonstrated repeatedly that she hates Israel ● Weekly Standard: on Ilhan Omar, is “someone who calls Israel a racist state is an acceptable DFL candidate for congressional office?” ● Clarion Project: For many Muslims (candidates and activists alike), the issue of Palestine becomes a litmus test of one’s loyalty to his or her Muslim identity… Western Muslims often discuss Palestine with religious undertones, turning a geopolitical issue into a religious one. Certainly, for many non-Palestinian Muslims, Palestine has become a religious cause. ● PJ Media: JStreet Withdraws Endorsement After Palestinian Candidate for Congress Pushes One-State Solution Part of Socialist / Ocasio-Cortez / Conspiracy ● Clarion Project: Ocasio-Cortez is part of a new breed of Far Left politicians who consider themselves “progressive,” i.e. on the moral high ground. They have made intersectional alliances with all the so-called “victims” of society… In one of the most brilliant stunts of political manipulation pulled off by those whose goal it is to replace the Constitution with sharia law, Islamists have managed to join that group (and it seems not to matter to progressives how violent or bigoted they are). ● Daily Wire: Socialist Trump Heckler On Track To Become Congresswoman
