JACOBS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AT BUFFALO Office of Continuing Medical Education School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences State University of New York at Buffalo DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Department of Psychiatry Steven L. Dubovsky, M.D. Knowledge in Psychiatry is accumulating at an accelerating pace that is both exhilarating and intimidating. The Department of Psychiatry of the University at Buffalo is a resource to practitioners around the region for information about the latest advances in neurobiology, pharmacology, psychotherapy, developmental sciences and social and economic aspects of the field. We are able to draw on national and local experts who can present complex information in a concise and relevant manner. This year, our Grand Rounds program, which is listed below, will be augmented by innovations such as difficult patient seminars. In addition to Grand Rounds, the Department plans a conference in September 2021 that will feature internationally renowned faculty. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the presentations as well as their own cases with the faculty. A series of focused evening seminars on topics of interest to clinicians in the mental health field and in related medical specialties will round out our continuing education efforts. We look forward to an exciting stimulating year of educational activities for Buffalo area clinicians.
