Romanogobio parvus, a new gudgeon from River Kuban, southern Russia (Cyprinidae, Gobioninae)

Romanogobio parvus, new species, from River Kuban, southern Russia, is distinguished from other Romanogobio in Europe and western Asia by 6 { branched anal rays, 7{ branched dorsal rays, 10-12 circumpeduncular scale rows, narrow and laterally compressed caudal peduncle, eye diameter 1.1-1.6 times in interorbital distance, dorsal fin behind middle of body, and anus midway between pelvic and anal origins.
