It is because the legal process is continuing to analyse each athlete implicated on a case-by-case basis. All those to have tested positive have, however, been barred from taking part at Rio 2016 with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) claiming this fulfills their primary obligation to stop drug cheats participating here. A total of 98 positives emerged out of over 1,200 re-tested samples from both Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Only two of these have so far been officially confirmed and stripped of medals by the IOC. Both are female weightlifters, Ukraine's under 58 kilograms London 2012 bronze medallist Yulia Kalina and Turkey's under 48kg Beijing 2008 silver medallist Sibel Özkan. "The issue of when they are fully sanctioned will happen later," IOC Presidential spokesman Mark Adams told insidethegames today. "Our aim is to stop them [those implicated] coming to Rio." He added that it is "very unlikely" that any more cases will be confirmed during Rio 2016. This is primarily for logistical reasons, as all those involved will be so busy during the Olympics. Many of the cases have been announced publicly, either by National Olympic Committees or by International Federations. -

My favorite sport My favorite sport ----- HIGH JUMP High jump is my favorite sport cause it is a challenging sport and it’s difficult to do it well. I think the pose of high jump is very elegant and beautiful, so I love this sport and I’m interested in learning high jump. History of high jump High jump were first popular in Scotland in the early 19th century, it incorporated to the first modern Olympics Games in 1896. High jump has undergone the most radical changes of technique. The Eastern Cut-off Western Roll and Straddle, they’re methods used by the athletes before. Nowdays, Fosbury Flop involves going over with the jumper's back to the bar and became possible with the introduction of landing beds in the early 1960s and popularised by the 1968 Olympic champion Dick Fosbury. What is high jump The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. How it works Athlete jump unaided and take off from one foot over a four-metre horizontal bar. They have to clear the greatest height without knocking down the bar. All athlete have three attempts per height, although they can elect to ‘pass’. If three consecutive failures at the same heights, the competitor will be knock out. If competitors are tied on the same height, the winner will have had the fewest failures at that height. Therefore, a jump-off will decide the winner. Do you know that Built up shoes were used by many top jumpers from1956 to1957, with soles of up to five centimetres. -

Now in its 10th year, the 2019 series will be the first that will conclude just weeks before a global championships. Athletes earn points in the first 12 meetings to qualify for two finals. As part of the overall US$8million in prize money available across the series, the finals offer a prize purse of US$3.2 million. $100,000 is at stake in each of the 32 Diamond disciplines, including $50,000 for each winner along with a stunning Diamond Trophy and a wildcard entry to the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019. In 2018, 360 million viewers from across 161 countries spanning all six continents worldwide watched the world’s top athletes compete in the IAAF Diamond League, an increase of about 78 million on the previous year. Further emphasising the IAAF Diamond League’s global credentials, athletes from 83 different countries took part in the 2018 season, with 34 of them producing winners across the series. The 2019 IAAF Diamond League – which takes place in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America – will set the scene for the world’s third-largest sporting event. -
