WINNING REASONS A DOZEN TO SUPPORT WKAR!

We’ve learned, just before heading to press with this month's StayTuned, that both our Radio and TV stations will have a very strong showing at the Michigan Association of Broadcasters' (MAB) Awards ceremony coming up on Wednesday March 12th.

WKAR-FM will receive four MAB BROADCAST EXCELLENCE AWARDS for the following programs: Current State - Neighbors in Action, Violin CT Scan, the Lansing Symphony Montage, and the Station of the Year entry.

WKAR-TV will receive seven MAB BROADCAST EXCELLENCE AWARDS for the following programs: O the Record, WKAR In the Community Promo, the Two-Minute Membership Promo, Backstage Pass - Howling Diablos, Current Sports with Al Martin interviewing TJ Duckett, Evening with the Governor, and the Station of the Year entry.

Additionally, our Technical Services Manager and Chief Engineer, Gary Blievernicht will be honored by MAB with the CARL E. LEE BROADCAST ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARD.

That's 12 awards for WKAR and reinforces how we strive to provide mid-Michigan the best in quality programs across the board! Next month's guide will have photos from the event and more information about the awards so - StayTuned!

Mister Rogers &Me Wed., March 5,8:00pm Sun., March 2,4:30pm MARCH 2014
