Details

Farthingworth is an old traditional croft house, which has been tastefully restored and extended, with a superb contemporary wing to take the best advantage of the immense views achieved from this vantage point. A panorama of sea, sand banks and sky contrast with the woodlands and mountains beyond. Ever changing with time and tide, the view is mesmerising; dazzling the eye when the tide is in or catching the huge numbers of seals on the sand banks when the tide is out.

The choice of furnishings and fittings beautifully complements the environment in colour and texture, encompassing an outside/inside feel, which has created a most relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. It will be a hard place to tear yourself away from, but leave you must to sample what this popular area has to offer.

Skelbo is a peaceful little hamlet of just a few houses, on a quiet back road, 10 minutes drive from . There is excellent bird watching down on , just a pleasant stroll, where Osprey are sometimes spotted over the loch.

In addition to Royal Dornoch just down the road, there are several golf courses in the area including , , and . Dornoch has a huge sandy beach, which is safe for bathing, and is an attractive County Town with cafes, gift shops, stores and restaurants.
