I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well. On behalf of Badminton Asia, I wish to thank all the members and delegates for attending our Virtual Annual General Meeting. Due to Covid19 Pandemic and the social distancing requirements, our AGM this year is held differently compared to past years and this may also be a part of history for all of us, a new norm that we need to adapt for the present time. Today, we are gathered here after one year of newly appointed members and office administration. 2019 has been a year of change and challenging. Today, I am proud to say Badminton Asia had not slowed down despite many challenges that we had face and we are still making great progress towards our common goal in developing badminton and being the number one sports in the world. Most importantly, I am humbled by the outstanding dedication and commitment shown by the members, the executive committees and the employees of Badminton Asia who had devoted their valuable time to help us achieved our mission. In the year 2019, we had launched our 4 years strategies and our main mission was to develop the under-privileged member countries with tailor made programs to suit the communities. We will continue to prioritize our services to these member countries and provide the necessary support to raise the standards of badminton in Asia. The Exco Committee board hold at least 2 formal meetings every year to resolve important issues in order to ensure that each committee is focussed on achieving the goals set for Badminton Asia. Our objective is to make sure that we maintain our focus on our goals by building our relationships in particular with our sponsors and stakeholders whom we rely heavily on. These are a few of the many diverse ideas and activities that had impacted in the year 2019. Badminton Asia too is often being confronted with uncertainty impacting the world and our biggest challenges is to ensure that we remain active for our members despite all odds. As a mission-driven organisation, it is with a great pride Badminton Asia had proclaimed success in the past years with remarkable growth. We at badminton Asia are honoured to serve you and last but not least, WE MUST BE UNITED AND CONNECTED. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in person in year 2021. Stay healthy and safe. ………………………… Anton Aditya Subowo President 4 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS Mr. Anton Aditya Subowo Indonesia PRESIDENT Mr. Moosa Nashid Maldives SECRETARY GENERAL Mr. Jassem Kanso Lebanon TREASURER BWF VICE PRESIDENT (CONTINENTAL REPRESENTATIVE) 5 VICE PRESIDENTS Mr. Wang Wei Mr. Kim Jong Soo China Republic of Korea Mr. Tirta Juwana Darmadji Mr. Chang Kuo-Tso Indonesia Chinese Taipei Mr. Ali Almarri Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Kuwait India Dr. Sawsan Haji Mohammad Taqawi Bahrain 6 MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS WEST ASIA EAST ASIA SOUTH ASIA Bahrain China Afghanistan Iran Chinese Taipei Bangladesh Iraq DPR Korea Bhutan Jordan Hong Kong China India Kuwait Japan Maldives Lebanon Korea Republic Nepal Oman (15th July,2020) Macau China Pakistan Palestine Mongolia Sri Lanka Qatar Saudi Arabia Syria United Arab Emirates SOUTH EAST ASIA CENTRAL ASIA Brunei Kazakhstan Cambodia Kyrgyzstan Indonesia Tajikistan Laos Turkmenistan Malaysia Uzbekistan Myanmar Philippines Singapore Thailand Timor Leste Vietnam 7 MEMBERS ASSOCIATIONS PRESIDENT’S PROFILE Achievements: 1.
