Indeed, any result in Elbasan would be good enough to guarantee the Ukrainian side first place with a game to spare should Partizan fail to win the other Group B encounter at home to Young Boys. Previous meetings • Dynamo came from a goal down to beat Skënderbeu 3-1 in Kyiv on matchday one, goals from Serhiy Sydorchuk, Júnior Moraes and Dieumerci Mbokani (penalty) seeing them home after Gjergji Muzaka had given the visitors a shock lead. It was Dynamo's first encounter against Albanian opposition. • In their only previous tie against Ukrainian opponents, Skënderbeu traded 1-0 home wins with Chornomorets Odesa in the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League play-offs before losing on penalties in Tirana. Form guide • Skënderbeu have not won in six European fixtures (D4 L2), drawing the last three at home, and have claimed just one win in ten UEFA Europa League group games, losing seven of them. They are, however, unbeaten in six European matches on Albanian soil this term (W3 D3). • Dynamo have not lost a European fixture this season, winning four and drawing two of their six encounters. They have won nine of their last 11 UEFA Europa League group games (D1 L1). • Domestic cup runners-up last term, Skënderbeu were the first Albanian side to contest a major UEFA group stage when they featured in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League. • Ukrainian Premier League runners-up in 2016/17, Dynamo reached the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals in 2010/11 and 2014/15, when they last competed in this group stage. • Dynamo have now completed their fourth successful UEFA Europa League group stage (out of five participations) and their third in a row. Links and trivia • The journey from Kyiv to Elbasan, where Skënderbeu are playing their European home games, is around 1,300km. • Skënderbeu's Tefik Osmani (Metalurh Zaporizhya 2005–06) and Kristi Vangjeli (Chornomorets 2011–13) have both played league football in Ukraine. • Skënderbeu are one of three teams to have reached the UEFA Europa League group stage having begun their campaign in the first qualifying round; Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Crvena zvezda are the others. • Skënderbeu goalkeeper Orges Shehi is the ninth player over the age of 40 to have played in the UEFA Europa League and the oldest participant in this season's competition. • Dynamo striker Mbokani, whose 32nd birthday is on the eve of this fixture, needs one more goal to reach 20 in European club competition. • Vitaliy Buyalskiy, Dynamo's match-winner at Young Boys, is suspended for this match after collecting his third yellow card of the group stage in that game. • Suspended for next match if booked: Gledi Mici and Bajram Jashanica (Skënderbeu); Artem Kravets (Dynamo). The coaches • Appointed in January 2017, Ilir Daja led Skënderbeu to the Albanian Cup final, which they lost to KF Tirana, and then steered them into this group stage. A former midfielder with Tirana, he has guided Elbasan and Dinamo Tirana to domestic championships as a coach. • Hired as coach in July 2017, Aleksandr Khatskevich won seven league titles as a Dynamo player from 1996–2004, and later worked with the club's youth and reserve teams. The 38-times capped international coached his native Belarus from 2014–16. 3 KF Skënderbeu - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 23 November 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Elbasan Arena, Elbasan Team facts KF Skënderbeu Formed: 1909 Nickname: Bardhekuqtë (The White and Reds) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) League title: 6 (2015) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2015/16: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2014/15: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2013/14: play-offs (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2012/13: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2011/12: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA club competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 4-1: Skënderbeu v Crusaders 14/07/15, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg 3-0: Skënderbeu v Sporting CP 05/11/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Biggest away win 0-5: Sant Julià v Skënderbeu 06/07/17, UEFA Europa League first qualifying round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Skënderbeu v Lokomotiv Moskva 10/12/15, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-1: Sporting CP v Skënderbeu 22/10/15, UEFA Europa League group stage 4-0: APOEL v Skënderbeu 20/07/11, UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 3-0: Skënderbeu v Sporting CP (see above) • Biggest away win 0-5: Sant Julià v Skënderbeu (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Skënderbeu v Lokomotiv Moskva (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 5-1: Sporting CP v Skënderbeu (see above) FC Dynamo Kyiv Formed: 1927 Nickname: Bilo-Syni (White-Blues) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (2): 1975, 1986 • UEFA Super Cup (1): 1975, (1986) Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) 4 KF Skënderbeu - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 23 November 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Elbasan Arena, Elbasan National title: 28 (2016) National cup: 20 (2015) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: UEFA Champions League group stage 2015/16: UEFA Champions League round of 16 2014/15: quarter-finals 2013/14: round of 32 2012/13: round of 32 (having transferred from UEFA Champions League group stage) 2011/12: group stage (having transferred from UEFA Champions League third qualifying round) 2010/11: quarter-finals (having transferred from UEFA Champions League play-offs) 2009/10: UEFA Champions League group stage 2008/09: semi-finals (having transferred from UEFA Champions League group stage) 2007/08: UEFA Champions League group stage Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 8-0: Dynamo v Barry Town 22/07/98, UEFA Champions League first qualifying round first leg • Biggest away win 1-6: Coleraine v Dynamo 02/09/65, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup preliminary round first leg 0-5: Beşiktaş v Dynamo 14/03/87, European Champion Clubs' Cup quarter-final first leg • Heaviest home defeat 1-4 four times, most recently v AS Roma 27/11/07, UEFA Champions League group stage 0-3 on three occasions, most recently v Lyon 17/10/2006, UEFA Champions League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 5-0 twice, most recently v Juventus 24/09/02, UEFA Champions League group stage UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 5-1: Dynamo v Aktobe 29/08/13, play-off second leg 4-0 twice, most recently v MTK Budapest 13/09/89, first round first leg • Biggest away win 1-4 twice, most recently v Beşiktaş 17/02/11, round of 32 first leg 0-3: Rio Ave FC v Dynamo 18/09/14, group stage • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Dynamo v Anderlecht 04/11/92, second round second leg • Heaviest away defeat 3-0 twice, most recently v AaB v Dynamo 23/10/14, group stage 5 KF Skënderbeu - FC Dynamo Kyiv Thursday 23 November 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit Elbasan Arena, Elbasan Squad list KF Skënderbeu Current season All-time QUAL UEL League UEL UEFA No.
