Written by brbcool8. I'm giving this show a solid 10 Fantastic Four: Worlds Greatest. I'm going to give it a 10 because Marvel obviously is going to go beyond Doom and show the FF against all the great villains they have battled, can't wait for them to go against Terminus, Galactus and all his heralds, plus all the other great nemesis they have. Fantastic Four was a great comic to read when I read them from my pre teens to my twenties and this latest cartoon show shown on Cartoon Fantastic Four: Worlds Greatest is by far the best version ever on TV. -

Fantastic Four #1 (Marvel, 1961) Marvel Silver Age Hero Comic #1. This is where it all started for Marvel as we know it today, the origin and first appearance of the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first superhero team. It's also the origin and first appearance of the villainous (though misunderstood) Mole Man. Writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby were behind this one. The first title under the publishers name Marvel Comics switching from Atlas Comics that year. This is the first official silver age Marvel Comics superhero book and would be one of the most scarcest Marvel hero books of the era as there was no hype when this book came out. #3 most valuable 1 st appearance silver age Marvel (1960-62) comic. Print run estimate: 125,000 copies. The Fantastic Four is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The group debuted in The Fantastic Four #1 (cover dated Nov. 1961), which helped to usher in a new level of realism in the medium. The Fantastic Four was the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics with this title that they would use from then on. The four individuals traditionally associated with the Fantastic Four, who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space, are Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), a scientific genius and the leader of the group, who can stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes; the Invisible Woman (Susan "Sue" Storm), who eventually married Reed, who can render herself invisible and later project powerful force fields; the Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Sue's younger brother, who can generate flames, surround himself with them and fly; and the monstrous Thing (Ben Grimm), their grumpy but benevolent friend, a former college football star and Reed's college roommate as well as a good pilot, who possesses superhuman strength and endurance due to the nature of his stone-like flesh. -

Great Ocean Heroes (11:00)
SC Aquarium Public Program Worksheet (Adapted from NAI, Certified Interpretive Guide Training workbook) Your Name: Kristen and Travis (May 2019) Program Title: Great Ocean Heroes (11:00) Theme: Each ocean animal has a specific role in protecting a healthy marine ecosystem. PROGRAM OUTLINE Introduction: Welcome guests to the SCA, introduce yourself and ask the audience where they’re from. Let them know the G.O.T is the largest exhibit in the Aquarium with roughly 550 animals that call it home. Today, we will be meeting one of our divers and ocean heroes that live in the GOT. Educator: Hello Diver ____, how is the weather inside of the tank? Diver: Hey there! The weather is great in here! *insert temp* Educator: Sounds pretty nice. How deep is that tank you’re swimming in? Diver: The Great Ocean Tank is the deepest tank in North America at 42 feet deep. I am currently about 27 feet deep in the GOT (bottom of big window). Because of the tank being so deep, we are able to show over 40 different species native to South Carolina. Educator: That’s a whole lot of fish. Did you know that some of the animals who live in this tank aren’t just animals? They’re also ocean superheroes! Diver: Whoa… You mean they fight crimes? Educator: Well… not quite. They all play important roles in the ocean and make huge positive impacts on their ecosystem! Today, I’m dressed like my favorite ocean superhero - Coral! It provides a habitat for all kinds of other animals, creating one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet! Diver: Here in the Great Ocean Tank we actually don’t have any coral. -
Xero Comics 4 Lupoff 1961-04
For a long time I wondered why I was unable to accept Hollywood’s premise that the Germans in World War II were either misunderstood boys (Marlon Brando in ’"The Young Lions") or really nice guys (Vari Heflin in "Under Ten Flags") while the Americans were deserters or draft dodgers (Montgomery Clift and Dean uartin, respectively, in "The Young Lions") and the British were bumbling, incompetent blowhards (Charles Laughton in "Under Ten Flags"). I was far too young, born in 1955, to remember much of the war and I lost no relatives or friends. Although two of my brothers served in the Navy in the Pacific, my family never told me much about the war. So what could I have against the Germans and Japanese? I think I have finally found the answer: the total propaganda saturation reached me through the comic books, especially through the adventures of the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, and Captain America, and subsidiary characters in the magazines featur ing them. 'hen you were raised on these, you learned to hate the enemy. All of these characters got their start in or around 1 959, two years before America got involved in the war, but they really came into their own when Pearl Harbor was attacked, for several reasons. Captain America, of course, was a patriotic hero-figure of a type which couldn't fully flower in peacetime when patriots are "flag-wavers," It took a full-scale war to release the unabashed patriotism which shot him to the top. The Sub-Mariner started out by marauding all shipping, with some emphasis on Amer ican vessels. -
