OSurpassing the goal by $20,000, the 2003 Annual Fund Campaign raised over $770,000. As always, the success of the Annual Campaign resides in its committees. Bill Crow of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt continued to provide strong leadership for the Large Firm Committee and once again netted the highest level of contributions yet from Portland’s top 25 law firms. Collectively they gave more than $281,000. Cheryl Rath of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt and Beverly Pearman of Stoel Rives co-chaired the Associates Committee which made a significant contribution to the large firm’ success. Keith Ketterling of Stoll Stoll Berne Lokting & Shlachter led the charge with OTLA members. In Marion County, Mary Mertens James of Harrang Long Gary Rudnick, William Nessly of the Department of Justice, Joseph Penna and Carla Mikkelson spearheaded efforts. Jackson County’s campaign was headed up by Joe Charter of Charter Anderson, Stu Foster of Foster Denman, the Honorable Lorenzo Mejia and campaign co-chair Douglass Schmor. Sixteen Oregon State Bar sections contributed this year: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Business Law, Business Litigation, Civil Rights, Consumer Law, Corporate Counsel, Debtor Creditor, Disability Law, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Government Law, Labor and Employment Law, Litigation, Real Estate and Land Use, Securities Regulation and Workers Compensation.
