International therapy training for qualified eurythmists

Information

Eurythmy therapy is a therapy which was created in 1921 by in collaboration with physicians and eurythmists; since then it has been further elaborated and developed. It is used worldwide in clinics, special needs and social therapy establishments, schools, medical centres and private practices. As a procedure with exercises, it is a specialisation of artistic eurythmy for therapeutic use in physical and mental illness. The exercises are determined medically following a medical diagnosis and in the ideal case carried out in close collaboration with the physician. They have an ordering, stabilising and healing effect on the cohesion of the soul and spiritual entity with the physical constitution. The eurythmy therapy training at the Goetheanum goes back to Isabella de Jaager, followed by Trude Thetter. From the beginning, interested physicians and medical students in the clinical semesters were trained here together with qualified eurythmists.
