CLOSE CALLS: The Yankees had a Major League-best 30-16 (.652) record in one-run games after going 22-25 (.468) in such games in 2012… have had just two other seasons in franchise history in which they played as many or more one-run games with as high a winning percentage (1963/36-17/.679 and 1904/35-17/.673).

YARD WORK: The Yankees had 23 different players homer for the club in 2013, tied with San Diego for most in the Majors… marked the most different Yankees to homer in a single season in franchise history, surpassing 22 different players with a home run for the club in 1965 and 2000.
