Assessment Specifications General information Domain Art History Level 1 Mode of Assessment Written Examination For Year 2015 Standards 91015 Specific information for individual external achievement standards Standard 91015 Title Demonstrate understanding of formal elements of art works, using art terminology Version 3 Number of Credits 4 Format of the assessment Candidates will be provided with: • a question-and-answer booklet • a resource booklet with images (plates). The plates will relate to New Zealand art works and buildings. Candidates will be required to answer ONE of two questions: • EITHER Question One, by selecting and referring to art works they have studied • OR Question Two, by referring to plates provided in the resource booklet. Plates for Question Two will be selected from a list of artists in each of the following fields: • painting & printmaking • photography • sculpture • architecture. Lists of artists in each field are included in these specifications.
