Format of the assessment Candidates will be provided with: • a question-and-answer booklet • a resource booklet with images (plates).

The plates will relate to New Zealand art works and buildings.

Candidates will be required to answer ONE of two questions: • EITHER Question One, by selecting and referring to art works they have studied • OR Question Two, by referring to plates provided in the resource booklet. Plates for Question Two will be selected from a list of artists in each of the following fields: • painting & printmaking • photography • sculpture • architecture.

Lists of artists in each field are included in these specifications.
