Clear Channel’s WDTW flipped to Rhythmic AC on Sept. 4, giving CBS Radio’s WYCD a clear shot at a little extra Time Spent Listening (Average Time Exposed in PPM parlance) from WDTW’s 511,400 cumers (Aug. ‘09 Arbitron PPM, 6+). In its first month as the Motor City’s lone Country outlet, WYCD set record highs for share and cume as the share soared 5.1-6.0 while the cume was up more than 42,000. Here’s a look at all of the September cume and share figures in PPM markets released last week by Arbitron. Legend: A “+” indicates a Classic Country outlet, a “^” designates Country stations in the same market owned by a single operator, a “t” indicates a tie and a “*” indicates a record high showing for the station in that particular category. 6+ Share 6+ Share Cume Cume 6+ Share 6+ Share Cume Cume Station/City (Rank) (Rank) (Rank) (Rank) Station/City (Rank) (Rank) (Rank) (Rank) Aug ‘09 Sept. ‘09 Aug ‘09 Sept. ‘09 Aug ‘09 Sept. ‘09 Aug ‘09 Sept. ‘09 WKHX/Atlanta 5.1 (5) 5.3 (5) 790,800 (11) 742,500 (11) WDSY/Pittsburgh 7.1 (3) 7.7 (3) 560,600 (5) 541,100 (6) WUBL/Atlanta 3.5 (11t) 3.8* (9*) 649,700 (13) 659,900 (13) WOGG/Pittsburgh^ 2.3 (16) 1.9 (17) 132,600 (19) 128,300 (18) WWLG/Atlanta^+ .9 (26) .7 (26) 124,000 (28) 129,000 (27) WOGI/Pittsburgh^ 1.4 (18t) 1.7 (18) 153,900 (17) 170,700 (17) WPOC/Baltimore 7.8 (3) 7.6 (3) 519,800 (4) 547,000 (4) WOGH/Pittsburgh^ 1.0 (22t) 1.2 (20) 98,900 (21) 100,500 (21) WKLB/Boston 5.1 (6) 4.5 (9) 605,000 (12) 573,500 (12) KFRG/Riverside, CA 4.0 (8) 3.9 (7) 302,400 (10) 274,600 (11) WUSN/Chicago 4.8 (4) 4.8 (3*) 1,290,400 (12) 1,385,400* (10*) KKGO/Los Angeles 1.2 (26t) 1.4* (25t) 102,100 (30) 85,200 (35) (Riverside, CA Arbitron PPM) KPLX/Dallas 6.6 (1) 6.1 (1) 1,284,000 (3) 1,303,300 (3) KSON/San Diego 3.3 (11) 3.3 (13t) 381,100 (13) 393,100 (13) KSCS/Dallas 3.7 (7) 4.0 (6) 982,400 (8) 896,100 (9) KUSS/San Diego 2.4 (17t) 2.2 (19t) 311,200 (16) 328,100 (15*) KYGO/Denver 4.9 (4) 5.9 (3) 481,400 (10) 490,800 (10) KBWF/San Francisco 2.4 (17t) 2.1(20t) 514,300 (22) 495,000 (21) KWOF/Denver 2.1(20) 2.2 (20) 275,200 (18) 246,800 (19) KRTY/San Jose .9 (30t) 1.0 (31) 210,300 (34) 245,800* (31) WYCD/Detroit 5.1 (6) 6.0* (2*) 891,100 (6) 933,400 (6) (San Francisco Arbitron PPM) WDTW/Detroit 2.3 (19t) -- 511,400 (18) -- KRTY/San Jose 3.4 (11t) 3.8 (9) 171,200 (13) 199,200* (10) (WDTW dropped Country on Sept. 4, 2009) KMPS/Seattle 4.2 (7) 4.5 (5) 589,000 (8) 573,800 (8) KKBQ/Houston^ 3.9 (10) 4.1 (9) 996,400 (7) 972,000 (7) KKWF/Seattle 3.4 (14t) 4.3 (6t) 525,700 (10) 533,700 (11) KILT/Houston 3.3 (13) 3.2 (12t) 897,000 (9) 880,600 (10) KNBQ/Seattle 2.1 (21t) 1.9 (23) 273,700 (20) 306,700 (20) KTHT/Houston^+2.0 (20t) 1.9 (22) 564,700 (19) 535,600 (20) WIL/St. Louis 6.0 (5) 5.4 (6) 592,100 (7) 577,400 (7) KKGO/Los Angeles 3.1 (11t) 3.1 (12t) 1,146,600 (21) 1,160,300 (21) KSD/St. Louis 4.2 (13) 3.4 (17) 571,000 (9) 473,600 (10) KFRG/Riverside, CA .3 (48t) .3 (47t) 328,000 (43) 354,600 (40) (Los Angeles Arbitron PPM) WQYK/Tampa 5.9 (4) 6.5 (4) 422,400 (12) 507,700 (9) WKIS/Miami 3.6 (11t) 3.7 (11) 498,400 (15) 460,200 (15) WFUS/Tampa 5.6 (6) 4.4 (9t) 424,700 (11) 461,300 (10) KEEY/Minneapolis 8.7 (2) 8.9* (1*) 779,800 (4) 802,400 (4) WMZQ/Washington, DC 3.6 (13) 3.8 (12) 592,300 (12) 633,900 (12) WXTU/Philadelphia 4.3 (7) 4.4 (7) 770,700 (15) 730,600 (16) WFRE/Frederick, MD .7 (24t) .8 (23t) 170,400 (25) 151,000 (29) (Washington, DC PPM) KMLE/Phoenix 4.3 (7) 3.8 (10) 607,500 (9) 580,200 (11) KNIX/Phoenix 4.0 (11) 3.6 (12) 574,100 (12) 579,500 (12)
