Career Profile Joined Satyawati College in 1977. Presently Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Economics Worked for over four years at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa, one of the most prestigious State University in the entire Africa Visiting professor in National college of Business Studies in Kampala, Uganda
Administrative Assignments Served on Governing Body of the College for two terms. Actively involved in designing course materials such as syllabi, assignments, examination papers Member of Debating Committee. Convener of Student Advisory Committee, Convener of Development Committee that assesses the allocation of the UGC grant allocated under 12th plan for the development projects of the institution. Faculty advisor of Enactus Satyawati which is a Social Organization with the objective of creating entrepreneurship amongst under-privileged groups. Currently we have two projects namely Vasundhara and Navjeevan.
Project Vasundhara o Intends to create a better and secure future for the rag pickers by opening new opportunities for them in various fields, while creating a model of 'Green City, Zero Rubbish' in the process o This project 'Best out of waste' will open for them, through requisite training, a new source of income hence transforming their roles in the community. Project Navjeevan o Aimed at improving the lives of the women at G.B Road (the red light district), Delhi by providing them with training and confidence to make notebooks from recycled paper o This recycled paper is made from waste paper which is collected from schools and other institutions. While the involvement in these two projects requires a lot of my time and energy, the widespread appreciation these projects are receiving and the impact it makes to the community makes it worth it . Currently part of the College selection committee of the Economics department.
