Oead Und Erasmus+ Hochschultagung 13 OeAD und Erasmus+ Hochschultagung 13. bis 15. bildung | wissenschaft | forschung | international November 2017 Liste der Referentinnen und Referenten Mag.a Diana Afrashteh, MA arbeitet seit 1996 als Referentin für Internationale Beziehungen an der Universität Graz und ist auch stellvertretende Leiterin dieser Abteilung. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf Kooperationen in Europa sowie dem Erasmus+ Programm, spezifisch Personalmobilität. Sie ist Erasmus+ Hochschulkoordinatorin und war langjähriges Mitglied der Erasmus AG und des nationalen Erasmus‐Beirats während des Programms für Lebenslanges Lernen. Nach ihrem Studium der Translations‐ wissenschaften in Graz folgten postgraduale Studien in „Deutsch als Fremdsprache“und „Interkulturelle Kompetenzen“. Seit 2006 ist ein weiterer Fokus ihrer Arbeit interkulturelle Workshops, Trainings und Seminare im universitären Umfeld In‐ und Ausland abzuhalten, sowie ihre Tätigkeit als externe Lektorin auf diesem Gebiet. Foto: Diana Afrashteh Barbara Babić, MA hat Musikwissenschaft an den Universitäten Trient (BA) und Mailand (MA) studiert sowie Musikvermittlung und Musikmanagement an der Accademia Teatro alla Scala. 2010/2011 verbrachte sie einen Erasmus‐Aufenthalt an der FU Berlin und schrieb ihre Masterarbeit als DAAD‐Stipendiatin über Film‐ und Theatermusik für die Piscator‐Bühne im Berlin der 1920er Jahre. Seit Februar 2015 ist sie DOC‐Stipendiatin der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und arbeitet an einem Disser‐ tationsprojekt über das Melodram zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts. In diesem Rahmen forschte sie 2015/16 mit einem Marietta Blau‐Stipendium des OeAD in München und Paris. Foto: Barbara Babić Katharina Binder war Erasmus+ Botschafterin 2016 im Bereich Hochschulbildung und studiert Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU). Im Zuge ihres Studiums verbrachte sie ihren Erasmus+ Aufenthalt in Tallinn, Estland, wo sie sich stark in der Studentenvertretung ihrer Gastuniversität mit der Organisation von Projekten zur interkulturellen Kommunikation engagierte. Im Moment ist die 24‐Jährige beim Technologie‐ Start‐up „Toni.ai“ sowie bei der IT & Marketing Agentur „TheVentury“ als Projektmanagerin tätig. Nebenbei ist sie Co‐Organisatorin der Workshop‐Reihe „Die Heldenschmiede“ durch die Schüler/innen und jungen Studierenden unternehmerische Fähigkeiten nähergebracht werden. Foto: Linda Upeniece Prof.in (FH) Dr.in Barbara Bittner ist Rektorin der FH Campus Wien sowie Juristin, diplomierte Sozialarbeiterin und eingetragene Mediatorin. Als Vizerektorin gehörte Bittner der Hochschulleitung bereits von 2005 bis 2012 an. Danach übernahm sie die Leitung des Departments Soziales und engagierte sich als Gründungs‐ und Vorstands‐ mitglied der „Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Soziale Arbeit“, OGSA. Im November 2015 wurde sie zur Leiterin des FH‐Kollegiums der FH Campus Wien gewählt. Im Rahmen dieser Tätigkeit betreut sie Mobilitätsprojekte im Hochschulbereich und unterstützt unter anderem die Initiativen „Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support (OLS)“ und „OLS for Refugees“. Im Rahmen ihrer Tätigkeit bei der OeAD‐GmbH berät sie internationale Studierende und Forscher/innen zu Einreise‐ und Aufenthaltsbedingungen und ist für die Validierungen von Antragsteller/innen bei Erasmus+ zuständig. Foto: OeAD/Klimpt Dr. Peter Gaunerstorfer studierte Rechtswissenschaften in Wien. Seit 1998 ist er bei der OeAD‐GmbH (vormals Verein Österreichischer Austauschdienst) tätig. Ursprünglich lagen seine Hauptaufgaben in der Information und Unterstützung von Studierenden, Forscher/innen und Hochschuleinrichtungen bei Fragen zur Einreise und zum Aufenthalt in Österreich sowie in der Bearbeitung sämtlicher Rechtsfragen der OeAD‐GmbH. Seit 2009 leitet er die Abteilung Personal/Recht/Infrastruktur in der OeAD‐GmbH. Foto: OeAD/Klimpt Mag. Ernst Gesslbauer leitet die Nationalagentur Programm Erasmus+ Bildung in der OeAD‐GmbH. Während seiner juristischen Ausbildung an der Universität Graz nahm er selbst am Erasmus‐Programm teil. Von 2002 bis 2004 arbeitete Gesslbauer in der Generaldirektion Bildung und Kultur der Europäischen Kommission mit Schwerpunkt in der beruflichen Bildung. Seither ist er in verschiedenen EU‐Bildungsprogrammen (Leonardo da Vinci, Lebenslanges Lernen, Erasmus+ Bildung) mit der Funktion als österreichischer Programmdirektor in der OeAD‐GmbH betraut. Gesslbauer fungiert in unterschiedlichen Gremien auf europäischer Ebene als Experte für internationale Mobilität und grenzüberschreitende Bildungsprogramme und leitet europäische Arbeitsgruppen. Foto: OeAD/Klimpt ________________________ www.oead.at 2 Mag.a Angelika Grabher‐Wusche hat Soziologie an der Universität Wien und der Université Vincennes in Paris studiert. 2009 hat sie als studentische Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Höhere Studien (IHS) begonnen und wurde 2013 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin aufgenommen. Sie arbeitet an Projekten zur sozialen Dimension von Studierenden und hat an den Studierenden‐Sozialerhebungen 2009, 2011 und 2015 mitgewirkt. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind unter anderem studentische Armut, internationale Mobilität von Studierenden sowie studentische Praktika. Seit 2015 arbeitet sie an dem international vergleichenden Projekt Eurostudent mit. Prof.in Dr.in Sylvia Hahn ist seit 2011 Vizerektorin für Internationale Beziehungen und Kommunikation an der Universität Salzburg. Die Historikerin war von 2006 bis 2009 stellvertretende und von 2009 bis 2011 Dekanin der Kultur‐ und Gesellschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, für die sie auch als Vizerektorin zuständig ist. Zu ihren wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkten zählen die historische Migrationsforschung, die Stadt‐ und die Geschlechtergeschichte, sowie die Geschichte der Arbeit. Sie absolvierte Forschungsaufenthalte in Deutschland, Großbritannien, Schweden und war Fulbright Scholar in Residence in den USA. Foto: Universität Salzburg Elmar Harringer arbeitet im Hochschulbereich der Nationalagentur Erasmus+ Bildung (OeAD‐GmbH) als Programme Officer. Dabei betreut er die Hochschuleinrichtungen in der Steiermark bei der Projektabwicklung der Erasmus+ Hochschulmobilitätsprojekte, begleitet jene Hochschuleinrichtungen im Antragsprozess, die eine ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) anstreben und hat einen weiteren Schwerpunkt in der Koordination der diversen IT‐Tools, die im Hochschulbereich von Erasmus+ Anwendung finden. Von 1989 bis 2006 war sie am Ludwig‐ Boltzmann‐Institut für Schulentwicklung und international‐vergleichende Schulforschung tätig und ist seit 2007 (Gründungs‐)Vizerektorin für Forschung und Entwicklung an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Kärnten – Viktor Frankl Hochschule. Nebenberuflich lehrt sie an den Universitäten Wien und Klagenfurt und ist Vortragende an Pädagogischen Hochschulen und Fachhochschulen, Studiengängen für Gesundheitsberufe. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Interkulturelle Pädagogik und Schulpädagogik (Schulversuchs‐ bzw. Modellevaluationen). Er ist Leiter des Landschaftslabors am interfakultären Fachbereich Geoinformatik (Z_GIS) der Paris‐Lodron Universität Salzburg. In internationalen Forschungsprojekten liegt sein spezieller Fokus auf der automatisierten Synthese von raum‐zeitlich gemessenen Umweltzuständen zu entscheidungsunterstützenden Handlungsanleitungen. Als Mobilitätskoordinator für Erasmus+ und CEEPUS berät und begutachtet er (inter‐)nationale Studierende auf allen Ausbildungsebenen und trägt selbst auch zur Lehre in Universitäten in Polen, Ungarn und Rumänien bei.     Study Regulations for the Master of Science Programs at MODUL University Vienna 24 June 2015 Due to the accreditation as a private university (decision of the Austrian Accreditation Council on 12 July 2007 according to the university accreditation law, BGBl. I No. 168/1999 as amended), the University Board of MODUL University Vienna decreed the following study regulations on 24 July 2015 based on § 3(1) of the Private University Law. § 1 Ambit These study regulations define admission criteria, the structure of the study program, and the examination requirements for the Master of Science (MSc) programs at MODUL University Vienna. The clauses valid for all Master of Science programs are in the proceeding text. The special clauses pertaining to each individual Master of Science program are available in the appendices. § 2 Goal of the Master Degree The master degree is awarded at the completion of academic studies for the respective subject and signifies career qualifications. Examinations taken throughout the program, as well as the final master thesis and its defense, determine whether the student has acquired the necessary professional, scientific and theoretical knowledge to solve complex professional and scientific problems.     WORKSHOP ON ANALYTICS IN TOURISM DESIGN MODUL UNIVERSITY VIENNA NOVEMBER 8 – 10, 2017 VIENNA, AUSTRIA Huge progress has been made over the past decade in establishing a foundation for designing tourism experiences. In particular, our knowledge in the areas of consumer perceptions, memory, emotions, feelings and most importantly the linkages between them, has enabled us to develop a new framework to describe and explain tourism experiences. Further, the number, diversity and capacity of new tools (including both sensors and analytical algorithms) that can be used to capture, measure and analyze the various facets of tourism experiences have grown extraordinarily over the past years. Certainly, the continuing growth of systems built upon social knowledge and machine- learning tools (even artificial intelligence) represents a new era in tourism management, which can be best described as “Smart Tourism Design.” With this background, the goal of this workshop is to create the opportunity for tourism scholars to identify and discuss recent cutting-edge research in this area as well as to discuss the challenges or limitations that exist in tourism experience design, which is now, evolving into what might be called ‘Design Science in Tourism.’ As you can see from this program, each day of the workshop will start with a keynote describing recent trends about analytics, smart tourism and experience design and continues with a series of working sessions of wherein authors will have about 25 minutes for presentation of research/position papers and Q&A. Importantly, discussants will lead Q&A throughout the workshop. The final session of the workshop will invite discussion of the lessons learned from four leading scholars and from, of course, all workshop participants and focus on lesson learned and on the future of tourism design.

    Sustainability Report 2013-2014 MU Sustainability Report 2013/14 GRI Message from the President Index Dear readers and valued stakeholders, Sustainability and environmental protection are key principles of MODUL University Vienna, acknowledging and embracing G4-1 the urgent need for development strategies that meet the needs of the present without compromising the welfare of future generations. The importance of a strong focus on sustainability principles at MODUL University Vienna is stressed by the fact that the largest study programs at this university are focused on tourism, which is an industry particularly affected by today‘s social and environmental challenges. There is a compelling need for people working in this industry to address climate change and other negative impacts of increased mobility and globalization. Research and education for reducing carbon emissions through conservation, increased efficiency and renewable energy sources are therefore necessary prerequisites for the prosperous development of tourism. It is clear that universities have the responsibility of leading the way to a sustainable future. MODUL University Vienna recognises its role in shaping and moulding future G4-2 leaders as the most significant impact we have on the external world, due to the multiplicative and long-lasting effect of education. Given the difficulty, even impossibility, of envisioning what a truly sustainable world would look like, we view sustainability as a process of continuous improvement toward shared goals, rather than a defined end point.
