The resort and the “Club des Sports de ” have the pleasure of inviting all national ski federations to take part in the Ladies’ slalom of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.

The competition will take place on Tuesday 21st December 2010 on the Emile Allais slalom stadium, which has recently been brought up to World Cup standard at a total cost of 1.5 million Euros.

06 General information

ACCOMMODATION

All teams, FIS delegates, guests and representatives will be accommodated in hotels in Courchevel 1850.

Accommodation costs have to be paid in accordance with the 2010/2011 edition of the FIS World Cup Ski regulations.

The Organisation Committee will provide accommodation at the same rates for any team members wishing to arrive before Sunday 19th December or leave after the afternoon of Wednesday 22nd December.

All teams must sign in at reception in their hotel as soon as they arrive and report to the on-site team host.

Each team captain must provide a credit card to cover any additional charges for their team’s rooms.

All individuals must fill out and sign a separate registration form.

The team captain must state when signing in if any team staff wish to pay for accommodation themselves.

Team Hosts

Before you arrive, you will be issued with a team host directory so that you can identify the host for your particular hotel.

Team hosts will give you your welcome gifts and documentation for all of your team on your arrival.

Each day, they will run through room occupancy details with you and go over any problems encountered by your team.

They are the direct link between you and the Race Office, with which they are in constant contact. Please give them a warm welcome and feel free to use their services.

MEALS

Teams will take meals in their respective hotels at times agreed with the latter.

Meal times will be arranged to suit training and competition timetables.

If there is a change of plan or special diet requirement, contact your team host, who will then make the necessary arrangements to accommodate the situation.

ACCREDITATIONS AND SKI PASSES

Your team accreditations will be issued to you at the accreditations office in the Arolles room (see general map of the resort) when you arrive. For all requests to change or replace a lost accreditation, please contact the Race Office.

NB: Accreditations must be visible at all times. Accredited individuals may only go to zones for which they are allowed access. Accredited individuals must follow the instructions of the jury in the competition area.

Located at the Club des Sports in the Forum, the Race Office is open every day from 08.00 to 22.00. It is open from 06.00 in the morning on competition days. Outside these hours, a permanent phone service is available on the following number:

TEAM CAPTAINS’ MEETING

The team captains’ meeting will be held in the Gilles de la Rocque auditorium at 17.00 on Monday 20th December 2010 . You will have free access to the Jardin Alpin gondolas. You will be issued with all the race details then.

PUBLIC BIB DRAW CEREMONY

Athletes should be at the skating rink for 17.30. You will be offered a welcome cocktail.

This will take place in public at 18.00 at the Courchevel skating rink (le Forum) just before the Skating Gala, and will be broadcast on France Télévisions.

The Organisation Committee could provide a shuttle service from hotels. Requests should be lodged with your respective team host.

Accreditation is required to access to the ceremony. Detailed information about this will be provided at your arrival.

14 The race

FREE SKIING, TRAINING SESSION AND WARM-UP

The Race Office is the central point for team requests, and organises training schedules around the prevailing weather conditions. Any requests should be addressed to chief of race Jean-François Leduc. They will be collated at Race Office reception and a schedule will be issued to participating teams. Training details will also be covered at the team captains’ meeting.

Free skiing session Managed by race director, Atle Skaardal, the free skiing session will take place on the race course from 10.00 to 11.00 on Monday 20th December (one run only). Warm-up This will take place on the higher section of the Emile Allais stadium and will be managed by the coordinating trainer. You will be provided with additional information at the team captains meeting.

WAXING FACILITIES

Each team will have its own area for storage and waxing within their respective hotels, in the car park or a specially adapted room.

A catering service will be provided for technicians in these areas.

A temporary “drop zone” will be made available at the entrance for unloading 2 to 3 vehicles. To prevent causing an obstruction, please remove the vehicle once loaded or unloaded. The number of parking spaces allocated to each brand and country must be strictly adhered to.

RADIO FREQUENCIES

To use radio frequencies, countries should email us individually and give us: - the number of frequencies of radios used - the frequency used - their authorisation for using these frequencies on French territory

RACE DOCUMENTATION

Teams can help themselves to the documentation they require from team racks in the Race Office or obtain it from team hosts.

Start time schedules and programmes will also be left in hotels or with team hosts after the race committee the night before the race.

All race documents will also be available online at www.courchevel.com/skiworldcup in real time.

Bib numbers are issued to the team manager on the morning of the race start.

15 MEDICAL INFORMATION

You will be provided with information on World Cup medical and anti-doping arrangements at the race committee at 17.00 on 20th December.

For private consultations, you can contact local establishments. You will need to take your private insurance or social security documents with you.

In all cases, Doctor Marc Chedal must be informed of the situation. For the location of pharmacies, please refer to the general map of the resort (p.8).

PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY

Award of medals This will take place 15 minutes after the arrival of the last competitor in the finishing area. Detailed information will be provided at the team captains’ meeting.

Prize Money The Prize Money for the 2010 FIS World Cup in Courchevel is €100,000 and will be distributed as follows:

1st place: €40,000 2nd place: €20,000 3rd place: €10,000 4thplace: €6,000 5th place: €4,000 6th place: €3,000 7thplace: €2,500 8th place: €2,000 9th place: €1,500 10th place: €1,000

Competitors placed 11th to 30th will each win €500.

In conformity with French legislation, 15% of the gross figure will be deducted for foreign competitors and paid to the “Trésor Public Français”.

According to FIS Alpine Ski World Cup regulations for 2010/11, prize money will be paid in cash at the end of the race. You can withdraw this at the office next to the Race Office annex (Chalet du stade) at pre-set times, which will be notified to you at the race committee.

17 GETTING AROUND THE RESORT

In line with the founding principles of our organisation, priority will be given to pedestrians for the entire World Cup period.

Where possible, we would therefore ask you to keep your car journeys to a strict minimum.

To help you achieve this, the Organisation Committee is providing free shuttles across the whole resort.

TEAM PARKING

A number of parking places will be allocated to each National Ski Association:

At hotels: - outside the hotel, in accordance with its own rules - inside the garages - spaces reserved for technicians only.

Near the Slalom Stadium: A suitable number of parking spaces will be reserved for the number of athletes involved. They are located near the stadium, and are only accessible on presentation of the special badge.

25 parking places are reserved for Teams in the Bellecôte Car Indoor park (see general event map p.8). Parking badges will be given to access and park in this car park.

You will be notified of the number of spaces for each country when your registration is confirmed. Please keep strictly to parking space allocations.

ACCESS TO THE COURSE

The site is accessible on skis via a range of ski lifts: “Chenus” gondola, “Plantret” chair lift and “Loze” drag lift (reserved for athletes and technicians), and is also accessible on foot from “La Croisette” - 10 minutes (see Technical course map p.14).

It is possible to ski to the competition area from all the hotels.

The ski lifts from the hotels will be open from 7.00 in the morning on competition days so that you can ski to the course.

A parking space is also reserved for you at the competition site, but you only have access on presentation of the vehicle pass issued by the team host. However, we advise that you should only take up this option if you have to transport equipment.

Skidoo shuttles can also be provided on competition days – for technicians only.

18 REGULATIONS

RULES

- The Ladies’ Ski Alpine World Cup is subject to the regulations of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2010/2011 and FIS ICR regulations - The number of competitors per country is determined according to FIS Alpine Ski World Cup regulations for 2010/2011 and related quotas - Entry to the race competition is only authorised to individuals with an accreditation issued by the race director at the race committee. - All team members must wear their accreditation at all times to access certain zones, and will not gain access without it.

INSURANCE

All competitors participating must have personal insurance cover. National ski federations are required to have the appropriate insurance for all of their athletes. (Art. 204.2 of the FIS ICR Regulations)

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

Team captains have to pay accommodations, for the nights between the 19th and the 22nd of December, to the main Race Office (Le Forum), in accordance with FIS Alpine Ski World Cup regulations for 2010/11.

Any additional nights must be paid for directly to the hotel at the rate provided by the Organisation Committee in accordance with FIS Alpine Ski World Cup regulations for 2010/11.

Team captains are responsible for paying all additional expenses (telephone, pay-per-view TV,mini bar....) directly to the hotel.

TRAVEL EXPENSES

Travel Expenses will be paid on Tuesday 21st December between the two competition runs.

These can be withdrawn at the office next to the Race Office annex (Chalet du stade) at pre-set times, which will be notified to you at the race committee.

ACCESS AND PARKING

It is just 10 minutes on foot from the competition area, via the pedestrian path. (see general map of the resort - p.8).

Shuttles will be running between the press office and start area, accessible on presentation of accreditation. Running times: Non-stop between 8.30 and 15.30

Given the limited number of parking spaces, it will not be possible for the media to get to the competition site in their own vehicles. Technical TV vehicles are not covered by this restriction.

60 parking places are reserved for journalists in the Croisette car park, which is located below the press office (see general event map of the resort - p.8).

Parking badges will be given to access and park in this car park.
