Adoption of Gram Variety (GNG-2144) in Nagaur District
Situation Technology Adoption of analysis: demonstrated: Shri Dungra Ram Jat has 2 ha irrigated and 2 ha ӆ Use of improved seed variety GNG-2144 unirrigated land in which he grow Mungbean, (2015) @ 75 kg/ha gram variety Clusterbean, Cotton, Groundnut and Sesame ӆ Seed treatment with NPK consortia cultures in Kharif season and Cumin, Isabgob Mustard, @ 10 ml/kg seed Chickpea in Rabi season. He has a small nutri- ӆ Soil treatment with Trichoderma viride garden and grows seasonal vegetables for family @ 2.5 kg/ha consumption. He is a farmer who was selected ӆ Sowing in 30 cm row spacing. (GNG-2144) in for chickpea variety GNG-2144 demonstration ӆ Recommended N:P (20:40 kg/ha) & use of under National Food Security Mission on Waste decomposer @ 50 g/ha Pulses. He was earlier growing varieties of ӆ Use of Emamectin Benzoate @ 250ml/ha chickpea like C-235 which were low in yield. ӆ Use of Tebuconazole @ 250ml/ha Nagaur district Technology implementation & H.R. Choudhary1*, Gopichand Singh2 and support: Bhawana Sharma3 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Athiyasan, Nagaur-I made them aware about scientific cultivation of 1Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy), chickpea through on campus training which covered all the farm operations from techniques of 2Senior Scientist & Head and land preparation to harvesting of the crop. The KVK scientists encouraged the farmer for soil testing and on the basis of that farmer were advised to apply balanced dose of fertilizer with high 3Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science), Krishi Vigyan yielding variety GNG-2144. This variety developed by Agriculture Research Station, Sri Ganganagar Kendra, Athiyasan, Nagaur-I, Agriculture University, (Rajasthan) and released during 2016. -

The district is bounded by the latitudes 26°02'12" to 27°37'39" and longitudes 73°05'20" to 75°24'. The NH-65 which connects district H.Q. with Jodhpur and NH-89 connecting it with Ajmer and Bikaner are passing through the district. It is also connected with Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner through broad gauge railway line. It is oval in shape. The district forms a part of great Thar desert and a large part of it is covered by wind blown sand. The district boundary is shared by seven districts of Rajasthan viz.-Jaipur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu and Sikar. It falls in Ajmer division and administratively divided into four sub divisional offices viz. Didwana, Nagaur, Merta, and Parbatsar. Nagaur, Merta, Jayal, Ladnun, Didwana, Nawa, Makrana, Degana, Parbatsar and Khimsar are the ten tehsil head quaters of the district. -
Impact of National Food Security Mission with Special Reference to Adoption Level to Field Demonstration Interventions in Gram Crop in Southern Rajasthan

SHARMA, H.K. JAIN, SANTOSH DEVI SAMOTA AND R.K. DAMOR ARTICLE CHRONICLE : SUMMARY : The present study was conducted in Banswara and Udaipur districts of Southern Received : Rajasthan. Total 120 gram beneficiary and non-beneficiary farmers were selected on the basis of random 29.03.2017; sampling method from the identified districts. The findings reveal that the extent of adoption of RSG- Received : 888 variety of gram among beneficiary farmers was recorded 86.25 per cent, while in case of non- 12.04.2017; beneficiary farmers it was 61.25 per cent. In case of extent of adoption of the complete package of Accepted : practices of RSG-888 variety of gram, it was found that beneficiary and non-beneficiary farmers had 26.04.2017 83.75 and 62.50 per cent adoption, respectively. Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) Abstract The Indira Gandhi canal is the lifeline of Rajasthan which carries drinking and irrigation water from Harike barrage in Punjab to Rajasthan, it supplies water to 15 districts of Rajasthan. This paper discuss an integrated approach of heavy metal pollution discharged from various industries and municipal authorities. the water quality of the wetland has been studied with reference to various toxic metals. The metals analyzed include lead (Pb), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni) and Arsenic (As). The quality of water has drastically deteriorated due to the mixing of the heavy metals. Most of the metal ions were in higher concentration compared to the international standards. It has been observed that the quality of water is not safe for various aquatic and even unfit for human drinking and irrigation purposes, therefore, necessary conservation and management measures should be taken to improve the deteriorating water quality of this globally recognized wetland. Canal and streams drain water that falls in down-land areas. Moving water, dilutes and decomposes pollutants more rapidly than standing water, but many rivers, streams and canals are significantly polluted all around the world (Bailey 2002). A primary reason for this is that all three major sources of pollution (industry, agriculture and domestic) are concentrated along the running water streams. -

July 25, 2012 Execution of financing documents for Chomu – Mahla road project of Chomu Mahla Toll Road Private Limited (CMTRPL) IL&FS Financial Services Ltd (IFIN) has successfully completed the debt syndication for the Chomu Mahla road project of Chomu Mahla Toll Road Private Limited (CMTRPL). The Financing Documents were executed in Jaipur on July 25, 2012 with a consortium of 5 banks led by Union Bank of India The Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Rajasthan (GoR), as part of its initiative to boost infrastructure in the state, has decided to develop the project involving two laning of the Chomu Mahla via Renwal, Jobner section through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mechanism Unity Infraprojects Ltd (UIL) emerged as the preferred bidder for the project based on its offer to seek grant of Rs 18.00 cr. CMTRPL is the SPV promoted by UIL for implementation of the project The Concession for the Project is awarded by the PWD, Government of Rajasthan (GoR), to CMTRPL for a period of 25 years on a design, build, finance, operate, transfer (DBFOT) (Toll) basis The Project involves two laning of the Chomu Mahla via Renwal, Jobner section along state highways 8B, 19, 2C, 8A and other district road 2 in the state of Rajasthan at an estimated Project cost of Rs 290 cr. The Project has been financed in a debt equity ratio of 3:1. (considering Grant of Rs 18 cr from the GoR as equity). The debt was raised for a door to door tenure of 13 years, including construction period of 1.5 years, moratorium of 1.5 years and repayment period of 10 years The other bankers in the consortium, besides Union Bank of India, the lead bank, are Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank of India, State Bank of Patiala & State Bank of Hyderabad . -

PREFACE AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Regional economic inequalities are generally an outcome of uneven distribution of physical and natural resources. Sometimes disparities in the levels of performance also emanate from lack of technical know-how, low level of human development, social inhibitions and virtual absence of initiatives on the part of those who govern the destiny of people. A good number of studies have been undertaken in India and outside which focus on the existing state of inequalities. While some studies attempt to measure inequalities among different countries, others analyse inter-regional or inter-state inequalities. Generally, these studies are based on secondary data, and tend to measure the existing level of inequalities. But very few researchers have enquired into the factors responsible for such disparities. Rajasthan is a developing state of the Indian sub continent, where Mother Nature has not been kind enough to provide a rich endowment of physical and natural resources. Notwithstanding a peaceful political environment and a rich heritage of Marwari entrepreneurship, the State has not registered a very high level of growth in agriculture and industries. Infrastructure development and conservation of scarce water resources have generally received a low priority in the process of planned development. The present study selected 97 indicators pertaining to 12 sectors. A simple weighted average of scores was used to rank 32 districts of the State according to the nature of their relationship with development. Such ranking was done first for each sector, and then a composite rank for all the indicators was assigned to each district. One novel experiment undertaken in this study was to rank the districts on the basis of allocation of plan outlays over the period 1993-2001. -

Developing a Culture of Sustainable Consumption and Lifestyle through Organic Production and Consumption in Rajasthan (ProOrganic-II) Event Report District and Block Level Partners Orientation Meeting April 23-24, 2019, Jaipur Background India is mainly an agricultural country, where around 58 percent of the nation's population is involved in agriculture for livelihood. There is a huge untapped resource of organic farming in India. Organic farming emerged as an alternative for meeting increasing food demand, maintaining soil fertility and enhancing soil carbon pool. Promotion of organic consumption is directly proportional to consumer's right to healthy environment in various ways. Use of harmful pesticides and chemicals in agriculture is one of the major causes of environmental degradation, and is also not good for human health. The chemicals in food products adversely affect reproduction in females. Moreover, Indian society being largely patriarchal where needs of women are not prioritised, so they are prone to chemical contaminations in food. Hence, adoption of organic consumption will be beneficial to women, especially girls. Insight into the Project With support from the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC), CUTS International is implementing a project entitled, ‘Developing a Culture of Sustainable Consumption and Lifestyle through Organic Production and Consumption in the State of Rajasthan (ProOrganic-II)’ from April 01, 2017 to March 31, 2021 in 192 gram panchayats of 10 selected districts of Rajasthan (India). The main objective of the project is to fill the identified gaps and sustain the acquired momentum to achieve expected outcomes for a better eco-system, by promoting organic consumption. One of the basic concepts of the project is that promoting sustainable consumption and production are important aspects of sustainable lifestyle, which is largely consistent with environmental and social factors and education and empowerment of consumers. -

This study was conducted by collecting the responses from 210 guava growers from randomly selected 20 villages of Sawai Madhopurdistrict and 10 villages of Bharatpur districtin the flood-prone eastern plain zone (IIIb) of Rajasthan. It was found that Majority of guava growers were ABSTRACT having medium planning ability. In both Sawai Madhopurand Bharatpur district majority of guava growers were having medium planning ability. The guava growers of both Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur districts had highest planning ability regarding “objectives in planning for the management of guava orchard”. There was no significant difference between the farmers of selected districts with respect to their planning ability.
