Editors Note: A number ofevents led to the preceding Bird Report's coverage ofa five year period instead of the traditional one year period. The publication ofthis Report marks the implementation ofa new editorial policy concerning BirdReports. They will now be prepared and published on a five year basis. By covering the longer period, the comparison and assimilation ofbird records used to compile the Reports may be conducted more rationally. Also, BirdReports will no longer tend to clutter the journal with material that is not easily readable, albeit a valuable and vital source ofreference.
